Abstract

The device comprises a block of insulating material (1) with multiple parallel conductors (2) moulded into the material. A hole (3) perpendicular to the axis of each conductor perforates the block. An insulating plug (4) can be inserted into any chosen hole to break the conductor and interrupt the circuit. The interruption is permanent and the presence of the insulating plug (4) in the hole (3) gives visual indication of the interruption. The ends of each conductor may be bent at right-angles to act as pins for insertion into a printed circuit board. USE/ADVANTAGE - Low cost, simple selective interruption of multiple parallel conductors suitable for automatic assembly.
