A method of mounting a hinge member (46) on a wall-bound housing including an opening (11) and a flange (40) surrounding the opening, the first hinge member (46) comprising a profile member U-shaped section having a base (54) and two wings (53, 48), one of the wings (48) carrying hinge means (51), said flange (40) comprising a profile having a base (42); ) and at least one first flange (44) extending perpendicularly to the base, and a first fold (45) skirting with a face of the wing facing towards the base (42), the hinge element (46) ) being adapted to cooperate with another hinge element (33) integral with a door (57) for closing the opening (11), characterized in that: the hinge element (46) is introduced into the rim (40) at one end thereof and slide along the rim so that the base (54) of the elem A hinge is supported on the base (42) of the flange and that its flange (53) remote from said hinge means extends between the wing (44) of the flange and said first fold (45); and crimping the hinge member (46) to the flange (40) by applying the fold (45) of the flange to the flange (53) of the hinge member. The method of claim 7 wherein said first fold (45) consists of an extension of said first flange (44) of the flange (40) and said flange comprises a second flange (43) facing the first flange (44) and constituting a second fold of a lateral face (41) of the housing, this second fold extending towards a rear face of the housing opposite to the opening (11) being attached to said lateral face and the housing is made from a sheet having a finishing treatment, characterized in that a face of the base (54) of the first hinge element (46) is applied to the base (42) of the flange (40) , before the introduction of the first element of

hinge in the rim (40).

9 Process according to claim 7, wherein the housing comprises on the one hand a cover (1) of U-shaped section having an upper face (2) and two side faces (3, 4), on the other hand a bottom (6) of U-shaped section having a lower face (7), a front face (8) and a rear face (9), the front face (8) having said opening (11), the front faces (8) ) and rear (9) of the bottom (6) being inclined inwardly thereof relative to a plane perpendicular to its lower face (7), each face of the cover having, along an end edge , a fold (5) while each bottom face (6) has free sides along which extends perpendicularly outwardly of the housing a flange (12), the base of said flange surrounding the opening (11) being formed by the front face (8) of the bottom (6), the first flange of this rim being constituted by said flange (12) perpendicular to the this front (8), and its first fold being constituted by said fold (5) of the cover, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: cover the bottom (6) with the cover (1) so that the edges (12) of the first face the folds (5) of the second; deforming the bottom (6) by pivoting its front (8) and rear (9) faces to a position perpendicular to its lower face (7) so that the flanges (12) penetrate inside the folds (5); introducing the hinge element (14) into said rim surrounding the opening (11); and crimp all the edges (12) of the bottom (6) into the
