Abstract

Device enabling caps or stoppers crimped onto bottles or flasks to be unscrewed safely and effortlessly. The invention relates to an appliance made of wood or injection-moulded plastic. It consists of a hollowed-out knob (1 and 2), a case (5) provided with slits (6) and with steel strips (blades) (10). These steel strips (10) are inserted into the slits (6) of the case (5). This assembly (5 and 10) fits inside the knob (1). A retaining and locking part (14) located in the base of the knob (1) fixes the steel strips (10). Since it bears on the edge of stoppers or caps of various diameters, the cone (C) formed by the steel strips (10) has the advantage that no adjustment is necessary. In the plastic version of this appliance (Fig. 9) there is no case (5). It is replaced by grooves moulded into the internal walls of the knob (1). The device acording to the invention is especially used for opening stoppers which have become clogged with sugar, adhesive (glue) or varnish.

Description

The present invention relates to a small household appliance allowing the unscrewing and desserting in a single operation of plastic or metal caps (still and sparkling mineral waters, alcohol, etc.)

 Without any adjustment, it adapts easily on a small diameter stopper to a relatively large diameter. By its quality, no part is deteriorated over time. It is compact, light, resistant and aesthetic.

It should impose itself perfectly in the field of the general public and in certain industries (research labs, pharmacies, perfumeries, granaes surfaces, etc.)
Research currently carried out on this type of material presents little interest compare to this one: they are complex, fragile, impractical and unsightly.

 This new device therefore has a very wide use.

 The description according to the invention consists of a hollowed-out pommel (1) in which a sheath (5) fitted with steel blades (10) offset (15) relative to the axis (X) is fitted in force darus the piercing (2) of the knob (1).

 These steel blades (10) represent by their positions the shape of a cane (C). They are held at the top and SatesaIes walls by a holding and locking piece (14).

The materials used to manufacture the knob (1) will be either machined wood or molded plastic (see Figure 9)
- For the pommel (1) made of wood, the sheath (5) is compulsory
- For the knob (1) made of plastic, the sleeve (5) is replaced by grooves, molded in the internal walls of the knob (1), identical to the lumens of the sleeve (5).

 Figure 1 is a sectional view showing the upper part called the pommel (1), the latter perfectly fitting the palm of the user hand. This pommel (1) is followed at its lower part by a circular groove (3) allowing the fingers a perfect grip. The outer circular base (4) of this knob (1) is chamfered.

 In the center of this pommel (1) starting from the base, an open hole (2) is made. It has a diameter and a depth equal to the sheath (5).

 In this sheath (5) four identical lights (6) are created in the longitudinal direction. They are open in the upper part (8) and stopped in the lower part (7). They are offset (15) relative to the axis (X) to -errrertre to the steel blades (10) to work on a cutting angle of ninety degrees.

 At the inner base of the sheath (5) a circular chamfer (9) is produced, it facilitates the fitting of the capsule or plug.

The steel blades (10) correspond for their length approximately to twice their width. A diagonal cut (12) is made starting from the base (13) a few millimeters to finish a few millimeters before its upper part (11).

 The shape of these steel blades (10) is an irregular polygon close to the right triangle. They are inserted in force in the lights (D) of the sheath (5) and this assembly (5,6 and 10) is placed in force in the pommel (1).

 The holding and blocking part (143 is provided with four lights (6) = open-to the outside and offset (15) relative to the axis (X).

The width of the lights (5) of the holding and blocking piece (14) and of the sheath (5) or grooves corresponds to the thickness of the steel blades.

 This retaining and locking piece (14) is placed in force at the bottom of the sheath (5) and maintains the steel blades (10) in the upper part and on the lateral part of the sheath (5) or pommel (1). .

The cutting angle of these steel blades allows a direct grip on the angle of the metal and plastic caps and caps.

Claims (6)

1. Apparatus intended to easily unscrew and serve a whole range of plastic and metallic caps or capsules, used for closing bottles or flasks. Characterized in that it essentially consists of a handle called a pommel (1) in which a hole (2) is made to receive a sheath (5). In this sheath, four steel blades (10) forming a cone are put in place. The scabbard plus blades assembly is force-fitted into the pommel and held by a holding and locking piece (14). 2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow knob (2) has at its lower part a circular groove (3) ensuring the fingers a good grip. 3. Apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in that it comprises four steel blades (10) in the shape of an irregular polygon, close to the right triangle. These steel blades (10) are placed in the sheath (5) and held by its lights (6). The cutting angle of these steel blades allows a direct grip on the angle of metal or plastic capsules and plugs 5. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterized in that the holding and blocking part (14) is provided with four open lights (6) which are equal to those of the sheath. This holding and locking piece (14) is placed in force at the bottom of the knob (1) to hold the steel blades (10) in the upper part and in the lateral part. 6.
