La stabilité des plaques est obtenue par appui simple sur les profilés, en libre dilatation
Le bon fonctionnement des ouvrages dépend de la pri -se en feuillure des plaques, difficile à maîtriser
Emboitement mâle et femelle ( fig. 7 )
Ce mode d'assemblage est le plus courant pour les plaques alvéolaires en PVC, moins fréquent pour les plaques en PC ou PMMA
Les plaques sont planes ou comportent des reliefs latéraux
Les bords de la plaque sont dissymétriques .L'un présente un profil d'emboitement mâle, l'autre un profil d'emboitement femelle; l'assemblage par emboitement latéral des plaques assure la continuité transversale, l'étan -chéité à l'air et à l'eau
La stabilité des ouvrages est limitée par la faible résistance des pattes de fixation, et en couverture l'ob -tention d'étanchéité nécessite une pente de toiture importante

The stability of the structures is limited by the low resistance of the fixing lugs, and on the roof, obtaining waterproofing requires a significant roof slope.
