Abstract

Safety riding stirrup or device offering the user the guarantee of total comfort and safety. It behaves in such a way as to prevent the rider's foot being held in the arch of the stirrup as in the case with stirrups of current manufacture. It can be made in the foundry, cast in steel, or die-cast under pressure in a non-ferrous metal or a carbon composite material. The sole plate (4) should be inclined at more or less 20 DEG . The sole plate can hold rubber studs (9) or a non-slip sole with ribs in order to position the foot along the axis of the stirrup. The top part of the stirrup can be made with three slots (1, 2, 3) for the stirrup leather, one of which is open in order to facilitate changing or recovering the stirrup. The sole plate is inclined in order to assume a natural position effortlessly.
