Abstract

Device for anchoring a safety belt of a movable seat, on the floor of a motor vehicle, in which the anchoring point of the belt, which lies close to the longitudinal mid-plane of the vehicle, is carried by an element mounted so as to move with the seat and may be connected to a structural element fixed onto the floor, characterised in that the structural element (18) is connected by a flexible inextensible tie (link) (23) to a suspension cross-piece (26).

MOBILE SEAT ON THE FLOOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a device for anchoring a mobile seat safety belt to the floor of a motor vehicle.

The invention relates more particularly to a device for anchoring a seat belt of a career bench seat, in which the point of attachment of the belt which is located in the vicinity of the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle, is carried by an element mounted mobile with the seat and can be connected to a structural element fixed to the floor.

The publication FR-R 2 422 528 describes an anchoring device in accordance with the preamble of the claim.

When the tensile force on the anchor is applied in an insufficiently reinforced area of the floor, the resulting deformation of the floor is incompatible with the quality of retention required of the seat belt.

On the other hand, when the tensile force on the anchor is communicated to a reinforcement cross member of the floor, the latter undergoes an unacceptable bending stress.

The present invention provides a solution to this problem.

According to the invention, the fixing bolts 21 provide
the retention of a flexible link 23 inextensible in the form of a loop 24 engaged under a stirrup 25 welded to the
cross member 26 for suspension of the rear axle of the vehicle.

As an example, link 23 is made up of a
strap whose length allows variations in the height of the span 26 without exerting tension on
the bracket 25 or on the crosspiece 26.

Without departing from the scope of the invention, the link 23 may
just as well blind made in the form of a cable
or a tale element.

The diagram in FIG. 3 shows that traction on the link 23 following a force applied F on the hook 7 has the effect of stiffening the link 18 from a force threshold F1 after an initial deformation Z1.
