Abstract

The invention relates to a device with which it is possible to ensure the mechanical and permanent support of the glass pane in its rebate. It consists of parts 2 or 9 having a conical or inclined part which is introduced into a seat provided for this purpose in the parts 5 or 10 and which, by means of a dead weight, reinforce the assembly of the glass pane in the rebate. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for bonded external glass panes.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for mechanically holding exterior glazing, and can be applied to Glue Exterior Glazing called VEC.

 The maintenance of exterior glazing is traditionally carried out using an adhesive sealant which is not a mechanical fixing, and, on the principle of peripheral, continuous or discontinuous support, by machined mechanical parts.

 The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy the inconvenience of a punctual peripheral support, which can cause cracks on the edge of the glazing. According to a first characteristic, it in fact comprises a machined part, which is fixed to the inside of the single glazing. This part allows it to mechanically connect the glazing in a permanent way to the elements of the construction by means of a flexible but sufficiently rigid connection which can withstand earthquakes.

According to particular embodiments
- The part can be designed to be fixed on the inside of a single glazing or, simultaneously, on the inside of the double exterior glazing.

 - the cutting of the interior glazing is therefore necessary in a part to be determined of its surface.

- With reference to FIG. 1! 2, the device comprises:
- For simple glazing (1) a part (2) one end of which is fixed to the interior face of the glazing (1) and the other end of which is connected to the load-bearing structures of the building (4) via flexible coupling (3).

For double glazing (8) a part (9), one of the ends of which is fixed to the interior faces of the double glazing (8) by matching the offset of the surfaces and the other end of which is connected to the load-bearing structures of the building (4) by means of the flexible coupling (3)
The device comprises for simple glazing (1), a flat part (2) parallel to its inner face and of a geometric shape adapting to the requirements of a Design, architecture, and mechanical constraints. A part in its center may be cylindrical, threaded, with an undefined system to allow the connection between, the glazing, on which the part is attached, and, the support of the building (4) which receives the other end of the said piece.

The connection (3) of this two-part part can be achieved by a flexible coupling system to resist earthquakes.

 This invention applies in the case of double or multiple glazing, with or without a laminated glass face, or any other product whether or not it is glass.

 The part (9) fixed to the glazing must be designed with a recess corresponding to the thickness of the glazing (8) of the interior face increased by the thickness of the interlayer to cover the interior face of the exterior glazing (s) on the inside face.

The support surface of these parts is determined according to the
DTU, surfaces of volumes, their thicknesses, their compositions, as well as constraints due to the wind.

Referring to Figure # 2/2 the device includes
- for simple glazing (1), a part (2) of which one face is fixed to the glazing (1) and the other face is provided with a clip which takes its function by being clipped into the part - (5) and, which to, the other face held in the rebate by rivet screws or other system to be defined.

 - for double glazing (8), the part (9) has a recess which allows it to match the offset of the glazing surfaces (8) and the other side of which is provided with a clip in the part (10) which on the other face held in the rebate by rivet screws, or any other system to be defined.

 A clip unlocking system will then be necessary.

Referring to Figure 3/3, the device comprises:
- For single glazing (I) or double glazing (8), a part 2 or 5, one of the faces of which is fixed to the glazing 1 or 8 and the other side of which is provided with a projecting part, at an angle or in a cone, having the lowest tapered part and the highest widened part, which takes its function by being introduced from top to bottom in parts 5 or 10 which are themselves provided with the projecting counterpart, on parts 2 and 5, and which have the other face held in the rebate.

This system has the advantage of bringing the glazing closer to the rebate by its own weight.

 The shape is determined according to the needs.

These parts can be fixed to the glazing
By technical adhesives with rapid bonding and perfectly translucent with polymerization of the ultraviolet glue type or by mono glues or multiple components of the type developed for mounting car headlights on their metal shell. (The car headlights are subjected to mechanical control tests which must resist vibrations, thermal agents, shocks, vehicle speed, chemical agents).

 The material used for all of these parts may be made of metal, aluminum, zamak, etc. or in terms of synthesis of the type of technical polymers, having ideal mechanical characteristics as required.

 The fixing of the parts (5 and 10) on the rigid elements of the building can be done by the traditional means known to date (bonding, welding, rivets, bolts, SPIT ROC, etc ...).

 Cutting an interior glazing for double glazing creates a thermal bridge that can be reduced by using plastic parts or flexible couplings will create a thermal bridge break with the outside.

REVEN MCAIIONS  1) Device for maintaining a Glue Exterior Glazing, characterized in that it comprises the parts (2) and (9), which are fixed on the one hand, on the glazing (1) and (8) on the other hand, on the supporting structures (4).  2) Device according to claim I characterized in that these parts are provided with an elastic coupling which ensures flexible support.  3) Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that these parts are provided with a protruding or recessed protrusion which is clipped onto parts performed projecting or recessed from a part fixed to the supporting structures.  4) Device according to claim 1, or claim 2, or claim 3, characterized in that these parts are provided with a connecting part or oblique which is introduced into a housing provided for this purpose and which by its own weight strengthens the approximation of the glazing in the rebate.  5) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it applies to singles, doubles, multiple glazing or any other material other than glass products.  6) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it uses methods of welding, of bonding the materials together.
