Abstract

The invention relates to an improvement made to boat-lifting gantries and making it possible: - on the one hand: to handle sailing boats without being forced to totally unbrace the front of the mast; - on the other hand to remove the mast without calling upon a means external to the gantry and to lift boats (of the catamaran type) the width of which is greater than that of the gantry. These characteristics are obtained: - by placing the (translationally) fixed lifting strap(s) on the front of the gantry (Ref 7) and the movable strap(s) which can be moved between the front and the rear of the gantry; - a crane (Ref 6) with variable span and lift on the front of the gantry.
