Abstract

The invention relates to a device making it possible to close the repair pits in the event of them not being used; and to act as a floor for the repairer by setting to the desired level. It consists of a strong floor 1 resting on 4 nuts 3. Four threaded posts 2, guided at 4, are rotationally driven by a gear motor, through the use of a chain 6 and gears 5. The rotation of the screws 2 brings about the vertical movement of 1. The arrangement according to the invention is particularly intended for equipping the pits for repairing and inspecting heavy motor vehicles.
