Le boitier prise est formé d'une coque support de fiches dans laquelle sont enfichées les deux broches conductrices en forme de T avec système d'attache des fils électriques > par exemple par une vis de pression ou autres systèmes mécanique. et d'un séparateur d'isolement entre les deux broches
La forme en T des broches conductrices permet leur maintien une fois le boitier fermé , et un tenon moulé sur la coque empêche leur rotation -
La coque support de fiche présente un guide fil pour éviter en cas de traction sur le fil électrique l'arrachage de celuici des broches
Le boitier prise est forme d'une coque couvercle qui présente une ouverture sur le bord pour le passage du fil . La coque couvercle est rendue solidaire de la coque support de broches par exemple par une vis , un clipage ou tout autre système mécanique
Elle comporte deux tenons ou en variante deux alvéoles pour l'accrochage de l'étrier de préhension .En variante ces systèmes d'accrochage sont sur la coque support de fiches
Le boitier prise est formé d'un étrier de préhension qui présente deux trous ou deux crochets (cas ou l'étrier est indépendant de la prise) ou en variante deux tenons pour l'accrochage sur le boitier prise . I1 est positionnable suivant deux possibilités : perpendiculaire ou parallèle aux broches conductrices . L'épaisseur de la prise est variable suivant qu'il s'agit d'un modèle encastrable ou externe -
En variante la prise présente un trou ou une broche supplémen- taire pour la prise de terre
