Abstract

The device is designed to hold the pages of a book open relative to the front cover B and back cover A of this book and makes it possible to return to a particular page. It is characterised in that it comprises two arms 1 and 2 which are hinged on a common pivot 3, each integral with an element 4 and 5 designed to be placed against the outer face of the front cover B and back cover A respectively, and each carrying a pivoting part 10 and 20 that preferably have spring return means and are designed to be placed against the right and left pages, respectively, of the book. Preferably at least one 5 of the elements is provided with fastening means 6-7 designed to act in combination with a cover A of a book. In an advantageous embodiment, each pivoting part is a bent rod 10-20 of which one end is spring-shaped 11-21 and attached to the corresponding arm 1-2.

Claims
