Abstract
Description
FOR THERMAL INSULATION AND ABSORPTION
AND / OR PHONIC, AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present invention relates to a composite insulation and thermal and / or sound absorption material, comprising a plate of a thermally and / or phonically insulating and absorbent material and a rigid support integral with one of the faces of this plate.
It also relates to a process for manufacturing this composite material.
Most of the boxes used as paint booths, mobile workshops, ventilation and air treatment boxes, clean rooms or sterile rooms, even auxiliary offices, etc., are made by means of insulating partitions usually comprising, at least one layer of glass wool or rock wool held between two sheets of sheet metal. For more sophisticated embodiments where the walls must be insulated both thermally and phonically, these generally consist of a protective sheet metal plate placed outside, internally coated with a heavy mass generally consisting of a sheet PVC, a first layer of glass wool, a second layer of rock wool and a rigid support sheet formed by a perforated sheet plate forming the interior partition.
This type of composite material is very commonly used, but has multiple drawbacks, in particular its weight and the price of its manufacture. Indeed, the presence of a perforated sheet plate, which constitutes a particularly expensive material, represents a major drawback of this material. In addition, the presence of this perforated sheet plate as well as that of rock wool, which constitutes the layer of sound-insulating material, make this material heavy and difficult to handle.
The present invention proposes to overcome these drawbacks by producing a relatively light composite material and of particularly economical manufacture.
For this purpose, the composite material according to the invention is characterized in that the plate of thermally and / or phonically insulating and absorbent material is a synthetic foam and in that the rigid support is constituted by a mesh.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the plate of thermally and / or phonically insulating and absorbent material comprises two layers of synthetic foams, separated by a heavy mass consisting of a sheet of a material whose density is greater than that of synthetic foams .
The layers of synthetic foams are advantageously composed of at least one of the following materials: polyurethane, polyether, polyester and / or one of the derivatives of these materials.
According to a particularly interesting embodiment, the heavy mass consists of a sheet of synthetic material.
The heavy mass can be composed of one or more PVC sheets, which can be loaded with barium sulfate.
According to a preferred embodiment, the mesh is metallic.
However, this mesh can also be made of a synthetic material.
According to a first embodiment, the mesh is glued against one face of the synthetic foam plate.
According to another embodiment, the mesh is welded against one face of the synthetic foam plate.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the mesh is incorporated in a surface layer adjacent to one of the faces of the synthetic foam plate, by means of a heat treatment.
For the production of walls, the composite material according to the invention preferably comprises at least two layers of synthetic foams, thermally and / or phonically insulating, separated by a heavy mass composed of at least one sheet of a material of higher density. to that of synthetic foams, a film of an adhesive substance secured to the free face of one of the layers of synthetic foam, and a mesh secured to the free face of the other layer of synthetic foams.
The method of manufacturing the composite material according to the invention is characterized in that the mesh is incorporated in a surface layer adjacent to one of the faces of the synthetic foam plate by performing a simultaneous heat treatment of the mesh and the surface of said synthetic foam plate.
The present invention will be better understood with reference to the description of various embodiments and to the accompanying drawing, in which
FIG. 1 represents a perspective view of a first embodiment of the material according to the invention,
FIG. 2 represents a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the material according to the invention, and
FIG. 3 represents a perspective view of a variant of the material illustrated in FIG. 2.
La couche extérieure de la masse lourde 12 est de préférence enduite d'un film 13 d'une substance adhésive qui facilite la mise en place et le maintien du matériau composite entre une paroi fixe 14, par exemple, constituée par une plaque en tôle.FIG. 1 represents a first embodiment of the composite material according to the invention, in this case composed of a plate 10 of a thermally and phonically insulating and absorbent material of a rigid support 11 secured to one of the faces of this plate and a heavy mass 12 secured to the other face of the plate 10. The outer layer of the heavy mass 12 is preferably coated with a film 13 of an adhesive substance which facilitates the positioning and holding the composite material between a fixed wall 14, for example, constituted by a sheet metal plate.
Dans l'exemple représenté, ce grillage est collé contre la face intérieure de la plaque de mousses synthétiques 10.The plate of thermally and / or phonically insulating and absorbent material 10 is preferably constituted by a synthetic foam such as for example a polyether foam, a polyester foam or a polyurethane foam or one of the derivatives of these substances. The rigid support 11 is constituted by a mesh which may be metallic (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) or in a rigid or semi-rigid synthetic material. In the example shown, this mesh is glued against the inner face of the synthetic foam plate 10.
En effet, la plaque de mousses synthétiques 10 pourrait pour certaines utilisations, être directement collée sur la paroi rigide 14.Note that the heavy mass 12, preferably made of PVC loaded with barium sulphate, or any other synthetic or mineral material having similar properties, is not compulsory, this heavy mass is advantageously constituted by a non-flammable material classified as Ml . In fact, the synthetic foam plate 10 could, for certain uses, be directly glued to the rigid wall 14.
FIG. 2 represents another embodiment of the composite material according to the invention. In this example, the plate of thermally and / or phonically insulating and absorbent material 10 consists of two plates 10a and 1 Ob of synthetic foams which may be identical or different. These two synthetic foam plates are separated by a heavy mass 12 consisting, for example of a PVC sheet loaded with barium sulfate. However, it will be noted that this heavy mass, the role of which is essentially to form a heat and sound barrier, is not absolutely essential if one is content to use the composite material as thermal insulator.
The plate of thermally and / or phonically insulating material 10 advantageously comprises an adhesive film 13 which allows the positioning of the composite material described against a partition 14, which can be a sheet metal plate or any other rigid material.
On its inner face, the insulation plate 10 is equipped with a mesh 11, preferably glued directly against the surface of the synthetic foam 1 osa.
As before, the mesh can be metallic or made of a synthetic material such as PVC, etc.
FIG. 3 represents a variant of the composite material illustrated by FIG. 2. This exemplary embodiment comprises, as previously, a plate 10 of thermally and / or phonically insulating material comprising two layers 10a and 10b of synthetic foams separated by a heavy mass 12 and bonded by means of an adhesive film 13 on a sheet metal plate 14. A mesh 11 is incorporated in the surface layer of the plate 10a of synthetic foam. This inlaying of the mesh 11, preferably metallic, is carried out by means of a simultaneous heat treatment of the surface of the synthetic foam and of the mesh 11. As shown in the lower part of the figure, the synthetic foam 15 forms a smooth or rough skin which almost completely covers the mesh 11 which is embedded in the mass of the synthetic foam. This solution is advantageous in that it makes it possible to retract the rigid support constituted by the mesh II.
The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described, but could undergo different modifications and come in various variants obvious to those skilled in the art. In particular, the number of synthetic foam sheets is not limited to two. The shape of the grids can be different depending on the intended applications. The choice of materials used to make this composite material could be widened.
