Abstract

1. Claims (12)

  A method for protecting and reinforcing an existing lock or safety lock assembly consisting of   a lock, or latch, of the type recessed   port on the edge of the door, and by its associated strike, characterized in that one interposes on the one hand between the door (1) and the trunk of the lock or lock (5), in the vulnerable region of its mechanism, a freely rotatable protection member (12) and on the other hand between the bolt (10) and the   door, a bearing block (14) for the bolt, which covers the door   surface of the latter between its edge and said trunk, and in that form on the plate (8) of the striker (7) retaining means (15) able to penetrate holes   corresponding holes in the frame.   2. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said retaining means (15) are formed of a single piece with the plate (8).   3. Method according to claim 2, characterized in that said retaining means is formed by cutting and folding a tongue (15) at each end of the platinum (8).   4. An assembly according to claim 6, characterized in that said protective member (31) is retained in   said housing (30) by an adhesive.   9. An assembly according to claim 6, characterized in that the retaining means of the striker consist of projections (15, 34) on the face of its plate (8, 33) which is applied on the frame.   10. Assembly according to any one of the claims   6 to 9, characterized in that the striker comprises a massive reinforcement (36) in the reentrant angle formed between its plate (33) and its body, this reinforcement being pierced with at least   an oblique hole (37) for guiding a screw (39) in a huis- series (4) in wood.   11. The assembly according to claim 10, characterized   characterized in that said projections (15, 34) are set back from the ends of the plate (8, 33) and that fixing holes (16, 35) are located between said projections in said   the middle portion of the platen.   12.
