Abstract

The invention relates firstly to an auxiliary sleeve intended to facilitate the positioning, on a tubular element, of any device provided with at least one elastic annular element 3 intended to clamp the tubular element. The auxiliary sleeve comprises a sheath 1 made from a flexible film with a low coefficient of friction which is fixed to one end of a hollow rigid tube 2 sized so as to be able to fit over the tubular element and which is initially placed on the tube which it sheaths over part of its length so as to receive the annular elastic element to be positioned before it is placed on the tubular element. The invention also relates to a method for positioning, with the aid of such sleeves, devices provided with this sleeve. The invention relates to fixtures for connecting electrical or optical cables and tubes.
