Abstract

Device for controlling an air inlet control flap for a diesel engine; according to the invention, it comprises: - a control rod 1 actuated by an accelerator pedal; - an actuating lever 2 provided with two end points B and C, and an intermediate point A at which the rod 1 is articulated; - a control cable 3 for a butterfly valve 4 counter to a return spring 5 fixed at the end point C of the lever 2; - and a sealed chamber 6 of variable volume, capable of being connected to the partial vacuum DELTA p created by the butterfly valve 4 or to atmospheric pressure, so as to move the pivoting point B by means of a spring 7, a piston 8 and a rod 9. Application: especially for reducing the idling noise of a diesel engine.
