Abstract

This conveyor comprises a framework, formed by two beams, over which a conveyor belt 40 moves. One 16 of the beams of the framework is mounted pivotably on the carrier chassis by means of the motorised driving pulley 14 of the conveyor. An articulated rod assembly connects the two beams together, whilst cables 30 support them and retain them relative to the chassis. The two cables 30 are firmly secured to a transverse articulation shaft 28 of the rod assembly, which passes through the rod of a jack 48 fastened to the inner beam 16, in the vicinity of the carrier chassis 2, and this jack controls the variation in the geometry of the conveyor in an extended use position and in a vertically folded transportation position.
