Abstract

In a hydromassage nozzle are provided inclined planes for selfdrainage of the nozzle when it is inoperative and means for regulating the flowrate of the stream of water under pressure mixed with air passing through the constricted section of a venturi tube.

  The present invention relates to a per-

  We know that hydro-massage consists in projecting onto the body of the user, immersed in a bathtub or a swimming pool, a jet of water under pressure mixed with air, from one or more jets ( s) mounted in the walls

  The main object of the present invention is to resolve

  To this end, and according to a first aspect, the pre-

  sente invention provides a nozzle for the production of a pressurized water jet mixed with air for hydro-massage, of the type comprising an adjustable body, having a passage

  According to another important aspect of the present in-

  vention, the envelope in which the body is housed

  will emerge more clearly from the detailed description which will

  follow, made with reference to the accompanying drawings for-

  It should be noted that the nozzle shown in Figures 1 and 2 provides all the features

  particular features of the present invention, but it is well

  tense that the property of self-drainage can be expected in-

  depending on the setting of the jet coming out of the nozzle and vice versa.

  With reference therefore to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the gic-

  their according to the present invention comprises an orientable body (10) housed in an envelope (11), on which are provided,

  in one piece, also the fittings (12) -and (13), res-

  pectively to the pressure water pipe and to the tubes

  On the bottom of the casing (11), at the suction tube (13), there are provided support pads (22)

  Let us now see the orientable body (10), represented

  shown in detail in FIG. 3. It comprises a tube (23)

  shaped like a Venturi tube, presenting a foreign section

glazed (24).

  Outside the tube (23) is mounted a sleeve (25) forming a housing (26) intended to receive by thread,

  a base (27) carrying, in one piece a tube (28) of vacuum

  air ration. The tube (28) extends, in the position shown

  felt in Figures 1 and 3, until the foreign section is closed

  slip (24) of the Venturi tube, the sealing of this obturation being ensured at the same time by an annular seal (29). At the opposite end, the tube (28) communicates with the air suction tube (13) by a Qrifice (30) closed by a valve (31) which opens when a vacuum is established in the constricted section (24) of the Venturi tube, which closes the air intake when there is no passage of pressurized water through the Venturi tube (i.e. in the

conditions of figure 1).

  Figure 1 shows a two disc type valve (31), while Figure 3 shows a disc and compression spring check valve. It is obvious that this is a solution given by way of example, but not limiting. In the base (27) are further practiced

Claims (4)

  1. Jet for hydro massage of the type   taking an orientable body, having a central passage   tral, conforming to the Venturi tube on the axis of which is an air suction passage, while pressurized water enters transversely to said central tube, upstream from the inlet of said Venturi tube, which causes the passage of pressurized water through the throat of the Venturi tube to cause an aspiration of air which mixes intimately with the water in said Venturi tube, the orientable body being further housed, so as to be able to be oriented around its axis, in an essentially cylindrical envelope, open at both ends and fixed to the wall of the bathtub or swimming pool, so that at the end directed towards   inside the bathtub is the drain hole-   ment of the Venturi tube, while the other end communicates said air suction passage with an air suction tube, at least one connection opening with a pressurized water supply tube being formed in said cylindrical envelope, characterized in that the air suction passage consists of a tube (28) which penetrates into the constricted section (24) of the Venturi tube and the constricted section can be oriented relative to the tube forming the air suction passage, between an open position allowing the passage of water through said constricted section and another completely blocking the passage of water, a valve (31)   control whose opening is caused by depression   sion generated in the constricted section of the Ven tube   turi when this lai.sse pass the water under pressure.   2. Jet for hydro-massage according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that said orientable body comprises a tube shaped as a Venturi tube, a sleeve (25) screwed in an adjustable manner on said tube and forming a housing for a base (27 ) carrying said air suction tube and provided with pressurized water inlet openings, the displacement of said tube in the form of a Venturi tube having   place by screwing and unscrewing said sleeve.   4. Sprinkler according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that there is provided an auxiliary element (33) which can be mounted at the end of said tube in the form of a Venturi tube and having an outlet slot for projection of a fan jet.
