Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to an independent distress braking device for a motor vehicle. It consists of the combination, first, of a mat 7 or cable, which can be unrolled in the direction of travel, then of a shock absorber member 10 and, finally, of an assembly mount. It is intended to carry out a rescue manoeuvre, when the normal braking means no longer respond to provoke an immediate halt of the vehicle in motion.
