Abstract

The vehicle bodywork (1) comprises a curtain (4) which can separate the driving compartment (5) from the loading space (7). The transverse curtain which is normally retracted on a roller has a deploying mechanism (11 - 19) activated by a pyrotechnic activator (26) controlled by a shock sensor (8). The deployment mechanism comprises a reduction system (14,15) between the curtain and activator. The curtain has on its edges, which are vertical when released, a device (22,23) preventing it pointing in the vehicles movement direction.
