Abstract

The device essentially consists of a slot or opening protected by a throating fillet 3; a tongue 4 precut in the self-supporting pan 5 penetrates into this slot and is then folded over 4'. The ridge beams comprise a channel 6, the core 7 of which, by precutting, forms a series of tongues 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 which are then clamped or folded over in the gaps. It makes it possible to directly install the tiles without any intermediate element onto the pans in order to obtain a rapid and stabilised installation.

Description

Covering device in channel tiles on self-supporting trays.

It gives the possibility of laying the tiles directly without any intermediate element on the trays so as to obtain a quick and stabilized laying.

Until today, apart from ancestral laying processes, channel tiles were generally laid, either on panels with battens, or on corrugated asbestos cement panels. These tiles were built or glued and had to be installed by a specialist. The fixing to the mortar is long and expensive as elsewhere, that obtained by bonding by studs. In the latter, only one part can be adherent, the others can move in strong wind. The ranges are limited. Certain devices which used metal bins were obliged to use an intermediate element between the bins and the tiles, such as battens, stud gussets, etc.

The device according to the invention eliminates these drawbacks and allows direct laying without intermediate element of the tiles on the trays and ridge tiles on the ridge tiles.

It consists essentially of the combination of a longitudinal or transverse slot (or light) on the light tile protected by a rejingot, with a pre-cut tongue on the carrying edge of the tanks or the core of the ridge and which folds back into the slot.

In the accompanying drawings, given by way of nonlimiting example, of one of the embodiments of the subject of the invention
Figure 1 shows in plan view the tiles with the orifice and the rejingot.

Figures 2, 3, 5 show the assemblies of the tiles on the trays provided with tabs.

Figures 4, 5, 6, and 7 show the assemblies of the ridge tiles with the tabs deployed and folded.

The tiles 1 are provided with slots (or lights) 2 with protective rejingot 3 (Fig 1).

These slots (or slots) 2 are transverse for the slope tiles and longitudinal for the ridge tiles (Fig 1)
For the covers themselves, tabs 4 pre-cut in the self-supporting trays 5, are folded down 4 ′ after having been introduced into the slots 2 (Fig 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

For ridge tiles, a single ridge gutter 6 for single-slope ridge tiles (Fig 7) doubles for two-slope ridge tiles (Fig 6) forms the support for self-supporting trays.

The core 7 of this gutter, pre-cut in comb determines a series of tongues 8, 9 and others (Fig 5), 24, 25, 26, 27 (Fig 4). Some of these tabs 12 (Fig 5), 26, 27 (Fig 4) allow the fixing of the ridge tiles. The tab used 26, 27 (Fig 4) enters the longitudinal slot 12 (Fig 5) and is folded laterally to form a single clip 14 (Fig 7) or double 16, 17 (Fig 6).

The unused tabs are folded under the tiles 8, 9 (Fig 5), 24, 25 (Fig 4).

The tiles according to the profiles indicated as well as the forming of the tanks can be produced industrially.

The main idea of the device consists in making a light in a tile, combined with the folding after passage in this light of a pre-cut tab on the metal trays.

The tongue is preferably pre-grooved to facilitate its folding. It is folded down on the rear part of the tile and immobilizes it individually without it having the possibility of moving in any way.

The installation of such a roof does not require any specialization, everything is automatically positioned.

The particular profile of the tanks which can exceed 6 meters in a single piece, gives by its height 100mm an inertia allowing a significant real self-bearing, even taking into account the dead weights and overloads.

This results in a lowering of the price of this type of tile roofing.

An automatic positioning of the tiles is carried out, generating rapidity and laying accuracy, coupled with absolute immobilization of each tile.

However, the shapes, dimensions and arrangement of the various elements may vary within a limit of equivalents, like the materials used for their manufacture, without changing the general design of the invention which has just been described.
