Abstract

Device of the type comprising a hopper 1, one of whose sides defines with the bottom 3 of the trough a slot 6 which has an element for adjusting the width of the said slot, in which device the adjusting element is formed by a cylinder 7 placed in the said slot and capable of closing it, the said cylinder being able to pivot about an axis offset from the axis of the said cylinder. The cylinder 7 is formed by a tube, along whose inner wall a shaft 8, whose ends are supported by bearings in the side walls of the hopper, is fixed. A lever is keyed to one of the ends of the shaft 8, and means are provided for securing it in predetermined positions.
