Abstract

The hydraulic actuator (2) is fixed to the frame of a lifting machine by a cradle (3). The cradle is welded to the front end (21) of the actuator cylinder (20) on the extraction side of the actuator rod (22). The cradle is welded by its base onto a plate (4) extending, parallel to the actuator axis, beyond the actuator front end and held in a casing (5) fixed to the frame. The plate has partial longitudinal cut outs dividing it into several parts (43). The casing has longitudinal compartments each of which contains one of these parts. The actuator fixing provides a third support point preventing transverse displacement of the actuator cylinder front end, thereby halving the buckling length.
