Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a system for partitioning premises, in particular premises for professional use such as offices.
So far, to achieve the partitioning of premises, two techniques have been used. According to a first technique, light partitions are provided which are placed in a vertical position, at the desired locations, and which are held in place using vertical cylinders, of the screw type, resting on the floor and against the ceiling. , the partitions being assembled together by fixing means (profiles, screws, etc.). According to a second technique, a screen is used, that is to say a succession of unitary panels which are assembled together. others channe by their adjacent vertical edges along which they are articulated; the screen is placed in the desired position and is held in the vertical position due to its broken line arrangement.
These two techniques each have various disadvantages. In the first technique the partitioning can only be modified by complete disassembly of the assembly and a new reassembly; these operations, in addition to being long, do not ensure that the new arrangement can be achieved without cutting the panels.
In the second technique, since a panel only starts from the terminal vertical edge of the previous panel, there is a limitation in the possibilities of arrangement.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a partitioning system which can be easily modified to adapt to any desired arrangement.
To this end, the partitioning system according to the invention, comprising, in known manner, a succession of unitary panels assembled in hatred, is characterized in that two successive unitary panels are connected by a set of two connecting rods, cooperating respectively with the upper pair and the lower pair of horizontal edges of said two panels, the connecting rods being articulated by their ends on said panels and at least one of these panels being provided, on its upper edge and on its lower edge, with a groove which s extends over at least part of the length of said edge for the sliding and pivoting of the associated connecting rod.
With such an arrangement, it is possible not only to modify the angular position of two successive panels at will, but also to slide one of the panels relative to the other so as to be able to cause the partition element to start. 'it represents any vertical line from the other panel.
Preferably, said two panels have such a groove on all their edges so that the connecting rods can pivot and slide relative to the two panels.
Other characteristics will appear on reading the description which follows and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which

Fig 9 is a plan view of a support leg
There is shown in plan in Fig 1 two successive panels 1 of the partitioning system according to the invention.
The panels 1 are connected by two connecting rods 2 provided, at each of their ends, with a pivot 3. The connecting rod 2 shown in FIG 1 cooperates with the upper edge 4 of the panels, while another connecting rod 2, located under the connecting rod 2, and therefore not visible, cooperates with the lower edges of the panels. The pivots 3 cooperate with the associated edge of the panels in a pivoting manner, as is known for screens. According to the invention, the two connecting rods 2 cooperate, in addition, with one of the two panels in a sliding manner so that the pair of pivots 3 associated with this panel move in a groove 5 formed on at least part of the upper edge 4 and lower edge.
Thus, as can be seen in FIG. 1, the connecting rods 2 can slide along the panel 1 on the left and tilt relative to it. As for the second panel 1, that is to say the one on the right in FIG. 1, it can pivot relative to the pair of connecting rods 2 around the other pair of pivots 3 mounted at one end of this second panel.
However, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pair of connecting rods 2 can also cooperate by sliding with this second panel by virtue of a similar groove 5 made on the upper edge and a corresponding groove made on the lower edge.
Thus, the two panels 1 can slide and pivot relative to the pair of connecting rods 2 which connect them.
FIGS. 2 to 4 show a partitioning system according to the invention constituted, in this example, by four successive panels I.
In FIG. 2, the system is folded, for its rolling, the panels I being placed in full facial contact and the three connecting rods 2 being, for example, at the ends of the grooves 5.
In FIG. 3, the system of FIG. 2 is represented in the deployed state in a straight line, that is to say that the four panels 1 are placed in the same plane.
In FIG. 4, the system of FIG. 2 has been represented in the form of a broken line, in the manner of a screen.
Finally, in FIG. 5, another arrangement has been shown using the system according to the invention, this time with five panels, this arrangement comprising, from left to right, a first panel 1, a second panel 1 which extends perpendicular to the first from an intermediate zone thereof, the other three panels being aligned, for example at 450 with respect to the second panel from one end thereof, these last three panels having however, planes offset two by two thanks to the fact that the two pairs of associated connecting rods are not placed at the ends of the grooves.
To reinforce the stability of the partitioning system according to the invention, one can provide extreme feet 6 and intermediate feet 7, the latter being carried by lower connecting rods 2.
We will now describe, with reference to Figs 6 to 9, the particular constitution of the panel according to a preferred embodiment of the invention.
The panel 1 comprises a filling plate 8, for example rectangular, made of any suitable material, for example wood or plastic
The vertical edges 9 of the plate 8 receive, over almost their entire height, a covering profile 10 in the form of a C open towards the plate, these profiles comprising an inner core 11 bearing against the corresponding edge 9. -The horizontal edges 12 of the plate 8 receive a U-shaped profile 13 open towards the plate, these profiles extending over the entire width of the plate 8 and their branches 13a having a height which, added to the length of the vertical profiles 10, equal the height of the plate 8 (fig 8).
When the plate 8 has received its two vertical sections 10 and its two horizontal sections 13, which become frictionless and form a frame, a covering 14 is spun onto this assembly, preferably in tubular form, for example a knitted fabric, of which the end edges are, at the ends, retracted into the internal cavity of the vertical profiles 10, behind the core 11 and, for the rest, folded over one another on the external face of the central core of the profiles 13 for be immobilized for example by spikes or the like 15 passing through holes 16 of the profiles 13 and becoming entangled in the material of the plate 8.
The tips 15 are covered by a plate 17, which extends over the length of the sections 13 to, on the one hand, avoid the accidental exit of the tips 15 and, on the other hand, to avoid interference of the pivots 3 these points 15 during the sliding of the connecting rods 2.
The assembly is held in place by upper and lower terminal slides 18, in the general shape of a U open towards the plate 8, these slides cover the lateral wings of the U-shaped profiles 13 and penetrating into the rear cavities of the vertical profiles 1Q to l using an elastic tongue 19 which, in addition, wedges the folded coating in this cavity.
As og can see in FIGS. 6 to 8, each slide 18 has a groove 5 which extends over its entire length, this groove 5 being followed, internally, by a wider groove 20, the edges of which bear on the plate. - that 17. The groove 20 is intended to receive a bearing or a shoe 21 which carries the pivot 3. Before the installation of the slides 18, the assemblies each constituted by the pivot 3 are inserted through the grooves 5 and its bearing 21-Thus, after the installation of the slides 18, the panel 1 comprises, as the case may be, two or four pivots 3 whose free ends project from the slides 18 towards them laughing. In order to assemble the system according to the invention, the connecting rods 2 are then threaded onto pivots 3, the connecting rods 2 comprising bores 22 for this purpose, and the connecting rods are immobilized using split rings or the like 23.
vis, les pieds inférieurs intermédiaires 7.The upper rods 2 can between left in the state while the lower rods receive, using mounting means 24, for example of the type
screws, intermediate lower legs 7.
FIG. 9 shows an extreme foot 6
which comprises a disc 25 forming the foot proper
and a rod 26 with a square head 27. The rod 26 is intended
to pass through groove 5 of the lower corres slide
laying 18 while the square tette 27 is received in
throat 20, without possibility of turning, for the screw
disc 25 on the threaded end of rod 26.
