Description

The present invention relates to a new modular and deformable partition system, usable in particular for the delimitation of personalized spaces in furniture assemblies generally designated by "landscaped offices".

We already know many modular partition systems for the same use, but all these systems have several common drawbacks, namely their lack of elegance or aesthetics despite their high price, their lack of stability, and their lack of attractiveness , being cold and rigid to the touch.

The present invention aims to overcome all of these drawbacks with a simple material, inexpensive and pleasant to use.

This material essentially consists of a flat core constituted by a plate of agglomerated fibers on which is threaded from top to bottom, a single cover made of a sheet of spongy, thin and flexible material comprising a decorative surfacing, said cover being threaded onto said core over a first frame, said interior, of said core by means of plastic profiles having laterally longitudinal grooves in which come to hang profiles constituting a second frame, said exterior, by immobilizing there simultaneously, by pinching, said cover.

Document US-A-4,068,700 already discloses a panel intended for the same use, and consisting of a flat core delimited by a frame formed by a series of profiles enclosing the periphery of this core and themselves coupled with profiles with cylindrical outer surface, the assembly being completely covered with panels of decorative fabric applied respectively to the flat faces of the core and said cylindrical surfaces. Such a structure requires, for the application of these panels, a relatively large and costly labor and working time.

This drawback is eliminated according to the invention, by the new panel which comprises for its manufacture only the threading of the single cover over the whole of the core and its frame, said interior, and the immobilization of this cover by attaching a second frame, said exterior in grooves of the interior frame, over said cover, immobilizing the latter by pinching.

Outre cette particularité essentielle, l'invention présente des caractères subsidiaires originaux :In addition to this essential feature, the invention has original subsidiary characteristics:

Thus, said external framing profiles are joined, at each corner of the panel, by a molded part comprising studs perpendicular to each other and coming to be inserted respectively in the ends of said profiles.

In this case, at the lower corners, said angular assembly part includes a thread for mounting a foot on a screw jack.

Furthermore, said external framing profiles comprise along the middle of their external faces a groove intended to receive, respectively, a flexible assembly strip for the vertical profiles or a rib secured to a base for the lower horizontal profile, this base ensuring the stability of the panel, whether considered individually or assembled with others.

Finally, it is provided, still according to the invention, that the lower edge of the cover is immobilized by pinching in an outer median groove of the inner / lower framing profile, by means of a rod inserted by force with said edges in said groove.

The outer frame profiles as well as the molded corner pieces can be made either of metal or plastic.

Pour illustrer l'invention, on va en décrire un exemple de réalisation, avec référence au dessin annexé sur lequel :To illustrate the invention, an embodiment will be described therewith, with reference to the appended drawing in which:

Figure 5 is a partial horizontal section of the lateral connection between two contiguous panels according to Figures 1-4 above.

Figure 6 is a perspective view of a corner assembly element of the frame of a panel according to the invention.

Figure 7 illustrates a pedestal system for these panels.

Finally, Figure 8 is a vertical section of the bottom of a panel according to the invention partially based on a base as shown in Figure 7 and partially on a screw jack.

As seen in Figures 1 to 5, the panel according to the invention essentially consists of a core A and a frame C.

The core A consists of a plate of agglomerated fibers 23, on which is simply threaded from above, in the manner of a cover, a sheath 24 constituted by a thin spongy sheet surfaced by a decorative pattern. To allow the setting up and attachment of the frame C, the plate 23 must be surrounded, prior to the threading of the cover 24, of internal profiles 25 of plastic material, for example PVC, having the shape of double U , joined by their base, the branches of one of the U 26 pinching the edge of the plate 23, while the branches of the opposite U 27 are closer together and have outer edges 28 and inner 33, which creates, at the outside of this U, two channels 29, intended to receive the branches of the external sections 10 and 44 which are thus hooked to the core while maintaining the sheath 24 in the bottom of each channel.

If we consider that the cover 24 constitutes a bag, closed at its upper end and threaded onto the plate 23 from above, on the two vertical sides and on the upper edge, the two faces of this sheath are joined by a segment continuous 30 on the vertical edges (Figure 2) and 30 'on the upper edge (Figure 5). Against by the lower edge 34 of the cover is free. To retain it, it is planned to push it back on each side into the bottom of the face outside of the corresponding U 27 of the lower profile 25 by means of a plastic rod 31 having two longitudinal grooves 32, formed on the inside of the wings of the U 27 (see FIG. 3). Of course, as can be seen in FIG. 4, the upper plastic section 35 has a slightly different section to simply receive the edges of the upper section 36.

La figure 2 illustre l'assemblage latéral par une bande souple 40 de deux panneaux contigus P1, P2, du type représenté à la figure 2.FIG. 2 illustrates the lateral assembly by a flexible strip 40 of two contiguous panels P1, P2, of the type shown in FIG. 2.

As can also be seen from the hatched areas in FIGS. 2 to 5, the corners of the panel are reinforced by corner pieces, also used for mounting the feet 41.

Finally, FIG. 7 shows an example of a base intended to ensure stable maintenance in a vertical position of one or more panels, even when these panels are either individual or completely aligned.

This base consists of a flat plate 41 made of a heavy material, having a rectilinear vertical rib 42 having approximately the width of the external groove 43 of the profile 44 delimiting the horizontal base of a panel (see FIG. 3).

De préférence, la hauteur h₁ de la pièce 41 avec cette nervure 42 est supérieure à la hauteur h₂ d'un pied ou vérin 18 à l'état complètement rentré par vissage dans la pièce d'angle 22.Preferably, the height h₁ of the part 41 with this rib 42 is greater than the height h₂ of a foot or jack 18 in the fully retracted state by screwing into the corner part 22.

If we consider Figure 8, we see that the rib 42 of the base, penetrating over its entire length into the central groove 43 of the lower section 44, the plate 41 is positioned symmetrically relative to the base of the panel. The screw 18 is put into place in the corner piece 22 by screwing after having passed through a lumen 45 formed at one end of the plate 41 (see FIG. 7) and it is screwed in fully, that is to say against the underside of said plate 41, which locks the base against the bottom of the panel, the screw 18 then being slightly above the ground.

As illustrated in FIG. 8, such a base is only mounted at one end of the base of a panel, the other end resting on the ground by the screw 18 screwed into the part 22 to the desired degree. We can thus consider that the panel rests on the ground by three points, namely the two angles 46 of the plate 41 opposite to the light 45 and the opposite screw 18 which allows at the same time the height and inclination of the panel.

The presence of such a stabilizing base thus ensures the standing position at three points of an individual panel. However, the panel according to the invention is essentially intended to create partitions comprising several panels hinged to each other in a sinuous pattern. In this case, the base is only useful at the outer ends of the end panels, the support of the intermediate panels being made only by the respective jacks 18 distributed over the ground as a function of the meanders of the overall partition. If, however, said overall partition was too rectilinear, it may be desirable to supplement the stabilization effect of the ends with one or more additional stabilizers suitable for intermediate panels.
