Abstract
Description
Handle element provided with a closing plate and /
or marking, for fitting fittings
sanitary
The present invention relates to a handle element in particular for the fitting of sanitary appliances, with a coaxial fixing means for fixing on a spindle and a covering and / or marking plate, fixed in a housing, using an annular extension, essentially by a friction connection, in the external zone of the handle element.
We know handle elements of this type ass are generally used on the taps of sanitary appliances; on these handle elements, the fixing hole, appearing on the outside is generally closed by a synthetic material plate which at the same time serves as a color marking means for hot or cold water. The wafer of synthetic material is generally pressed into a hole
set back from the handle element and to remove this plate it must be destroyed.
To overcome this drawback9 it is known according to document DE-GM 18 22 355, to provide the drilling ei res-ral-c in the handle element with an attachment shoulder -and to make the plate in the form of '' a collar cap, having a curved edge thus, by lifting the collar, one can release the cap put in place and hung, without destroying it.
This attachment collar in the hole for receiving the cover plate is however expensive to manufacture in particular for handle elements produced by a pressure foundry process, because it requires machining by chip removal to make the counter part. -bare. If, on the other hand, the closing plate of synthetic material is held by a friction connection in a cylindrical drilling of the handle element, so as to be able to be extracted, it has been found that the attachment of this synthetic plate decreased so much under the effect of heat and aging, as a result of creep or shrinkage of the synthetic material, that after a certain time, the wafer could fall.
The object of the present invention is to create a handle element with a covering and / or locating plate, which is of simple manufacture and allows a removable, secure connection of the two parts.
To this end, the invention relates to a handle element of the above type, characterized in that the annular extension is of cylindrical shape and comes to take up with its front edge in a corresponding annular groove of the handle element.
The advantages of the invention reside in particular in the fact that the locating and covering plate in the form of a closure plug, is held once mounted, both against the wall of a bore and against a plug. When the outside or inside diameter is varied, the annular shoulder is however clamped against a wall and is thus blocked and cannot fall. In addition, the two parts can be produced in a cost-effective manner by a pressure injection process.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the inner wall of the annular groove has a depth which corresponds substantially to 1.1 times the thickness of the wall of the annular extension and the edge of the annular extension is taken in the annular groove on a height corresponding to 0.3 - 0.8 times the thickness of the wall of the annular extension.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the outer edge of the inner wall is provided with a fillet whose radius is of the order of 0.4 to 0.7 times the wall thickness of the annular extension.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention will be described below with the aid of the accompanying drawings, in which
- Figure 1 is a longitudinal section through part of a handle element fixed to a tap pin.
- Figure 2 shows a detail on an enlarged scale of the handle element according to Figure 1 and its cover plate.
The hat-shaped handle element 1, shown in FIG. 1, is fixed to a tap pin 2 of a tap of a sanitary appliance, not shown in the drawings, by means of a connecting element snap-on insulation 21. To cover the fixing hole, coaxial, the outer side of the handle element 1 receives a covering plate 3 by means of a press fit; the cover plate 3 can be colored to characterize the fluid which passes through the tap, namely blue for cold water and red for hot water.
The cover plate 3 is provided
an annular extension 31, cylindrical which fits
che at the same time as the cover plate 3 in the hole in the recess 14; the cover plate 3
is held in its depressed position by the Adjustment
hurry. The protruding edge 32 of the annular extension
31 is also housed in an annular groove 11 at the bottom
of the hole in the recess 14, so that the two walls
side of the projecting edge 32 come to rest in
the annular groove II. When under the effect of cha
their or from aging there is a withdrawal or
a creep of the synthetic material, it remains at
minus a friction connection at the level of the wall in
and prevents the cover plate
3 cannot come off.
It is advantageous that the thickness of the
wall of the annular extension 31 either to twist
1 to 1.5 mm. The length of the annular extension does not
must not be greater than 5 mm; she can be infé
greater than this dimension. The annular groove 11 is
with a depth 12 which corresponds substantially to 1.1
the thickness of the wall of the annular extension 31
and presents in its upper part a leave 13 whose
the radius is equal to 0.4 times the thickness of the wall of the
annular extension 31. The edge 32 is thus dimension
born so that it is caught in the annular groove
11 over a height corresponding to about 0.8 times
the wall thickness of the annular extension 31. The
cover plate 3 thus produced can after
have been pressed into the handle element
1, remove without being damaged by using for example
a screwdriver applied against the lateral surface at ni
calf of the pressed hole 14, while avoiding loosening
automatic and a subsequent fall.
The removal of the cover plate 3 is for example necessary if to block the handle element 1 to prevent its unauthorized removal of the valve spindle 2, the elastic strips 22 of the insulating connecting element to snap 21 are blocked by a cylindrical element which can be fitted (not shown in the drawings). To remove the handle element 1, it is first of all necessary to remove the cover plate 3 and the cylindrical element.
