Abstract

In order to separate the legs 30-31 of tights 1, in particular of significant length, and to thus permit the rapid elastic grasping thereof by an element whose teeth can be separated which transfers the tights from a machine for seamed tights 3 to a machine for stitching the gussets, two sucking pipes 132-133, which are vertical and aligned, are used, the lower pipe 133 being stationary and the upper pipe 132 being movable in a telescopic fashion, the latter being associated with two corresponding blowing probes 134-135, which favour the legs 30-31 leaving the corresponding pipes 132-133 as soon as the elastic grasping of the tights is carried out by the element whose teeth can be separated.

Description

Device for separating the legs from pantyhose, in particular of considerable length, in a machine which transfers the pantyhose from a seam pantyhose machine to a gusset sewing machine.

 The invention relates to a device for separating the legs from pantyhose, in particular of considerable length, in a machine which transfers the pantyhose from a stitching machine to a gusset sewing machine.

 We know from the European patent filed in Italy under No. 70813 in the name of the Applicant, a machine which transfers the tights from a seam tights machine to a gusset sewing machine, which comprises two suction pipes, vertical, aligned, fixed and separated to obtain separation of the pantyhose legs while the body of the pantyhose is still firmly retained on the pantyhose machine and allow an element with spreadable teeth to have access to the seamless opening of the pantyhose which is intended for the bellows and to obtain the elastic grip.

 Experience has shown that with certain types of tights, in particular of long length, the suction of one of the legs in the suction pipe is uncertain and often impossible due to the excessive distance between the mouth of the pipe which cannot be placed beyond a certain lower limit for reasons of space requirement of the seam tights machine.

 The object of the present invention is to avoid this drawback and also to speed up the phase of picking up and transferring the garment by the element with spreadable teeth.

 This is achieved according to the invention by adopting the idea of making the upper suction pipe movable vertically so that it can be brought closer by lowering it towards and above one of the two legs which is advantageously previously arranged at hand overlapping on a saddle-like support of the stitching pantyhose machine.

 The advantages obtained thanks to the present invention essentially consist in the fact that it is possible to obtain the separation of the pantyhose legs of any weight and length, that said separation is always ensured with speed and precision, that the elastic grip of the garment by the element with retractable teeth is always correct and faster than what had been possible to date and that one obtains a high reliability and precision of operation even for long periods of time.

These advantages and characteristics of the invention, and others still, will be better understood by a person skilled in the art on reading the description which follows with reference to the appended schematic drawing, showing, by way of nonlimiting example, a embodiment of this device:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the assembly of a device according to the invention, in the resting state, with a pantyhose (1) on the pantyhose machine (3) while the leg (30) is in the pre-separation position;

Reduced to its essential structure and with reference to the appended drawing, a device for separating pantyhose legs, in particular of considerable length, in a machine for transferring the pantyhose from a pantyhose machine with seams to a bellows sewing machine according to the invention is made up
- by two suction pipes (132-133), vertical, aligned but spaced and whose lower pipe (133) is fixed and the upper pipe (132) is provided with a member movable in the vertical direction, telescopically, under the control two pneumatic cylinders (102) and whose mouth is restricted; the pipes (132-133) having the function of separating, by spreading them apart, the legs (30-31) of the pantyhose (1) and of maintaining them thus until a known element with spreadable teeth (not shown in the drawings for reasons of simplification) has made the elastic grip of the garment through the opening (2) for the bellows;
- by two blowing lances (134-135) with one or more nozzles, the lower lance (135) being incorporated into the corresponding pipe (133) near its mouth and the upper lance (134) being separated from the corresponding pipe (132) but next to and at a short distance from the latter, in a position slightly less than the position of maximum height of the mouth of the pipe (132); said lances (134-135) which are activated as soon as the suction stops in said pipes (132-133) having the function of promoting the rapid exit of the legs (30-31) from the pipes.

 The operation is as follows. When the pantyhose (1) is at the unloading station of the stitching pantyhose machine (3) and after the leg (30) has previously been manually placed on a saddle-shaped support (103), the movable element the pipe (132) lowers vertically as it approaches the underlying support (103) and thus sucks the leg (30) while the lower pipe (133) sucks the other leg (31); immediately after, the element with retractable teeth is introduced into the opening (2) of the pantyhose which is intended for the bellows, carries out the elastic setting and begins the transfer stroke to the bellows sewing machine; at this point, the suction stops in the pipes (132-133) and the air lances (134-135) are activated and project air, attacking the legs transversely and promoting their rapid exit from the pipes.

 In practice, the details of execution may vary in any way and equivalent in form, dimensions, arrangement of the elements, the nature of the materials used, without however departing from the scope of the invention.

- CLAIMS  1. - Device for separating the pantyhose legs, in particular of considerable length, in a machine which transfers the pantyhose from a pantyhose sewing machine to a gusset sewing machine, characterized in that it comprises  - two vertical pipes (132-133), aligned, whose mouths are opposite and separate, whose lower pipe (133) is fixed and the upper pipe (132) is provided with a part movable in the vertical direction telescopically ,  - and two blowing lances (134-135) which are associated with the corresponding pipes (132-133).  2. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the two pipes (132-133) are provided with pneumatic suction means.  3. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper pipe (132) has a mouth ~ restricted.  4. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the blowing lances (134-135) are provided with one or more nozzles.  5. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the lower blowing lance (135) has its active end inside and near the mouth of the corresponding lower pipe (133) and has its flow oriented towards the outside of the pipe (133).  6. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper blowing lance (134) is located next to the corresponding upper pipe (132) in a position slightly less than the position of maximum height of the mouth of the pipe ( 132) and with an orientable flow so as to intersect, transversely, the leg (30) projecting from said pipe (132).
