Abstract

Chassis of a straddling tractor, characterised in that it comprises: a main framework constituted by two tank-caissons 1, 2, which are symmetrical, placed in each row of vines, on either side of the row which is straddled, these two caissons being coupled to each other by two transverse members 3, 4; two carrying cases 7, 8 welded at the rear of the two caissons 1, 2 and containing the transmission gearings; a crossbeam 9 welded at the rear of the two caisson-case units 1-7, 2-8, this crossbeam reinforcing the fitting of the two units whilst constituting an anti-roll bar and the support to the three point coupling; two tubular supports 5, 6 for the stays of the front wheels, traversing the front ends of the tank-caissons; two oblique rear stays 14, 15 forming a case for the transmissions, each fixed to one of the corresponding cases 7,8.
