Device for fastening seat slides to the floor of a vehicle, especially by means of bolts 17 passing through a fixed slide element 12 interacting with a fastening means consisting of a nut 18 attached to the said slide element 12, characterised by the application of a fitting 21 securely fastened to the lower face of the fixed slide element 12, which fitting has a pair of superimposed jaws 23, 24 directed towards the free end of the said slide element 12 whose lower jaw 23 carries the fastening nut 18 whilst the upper jaw 24 carries the passage orifice for the bolt 17 and which jaws grip at least one wall of the floor 13.
