Abstract

This device is designed for the control of a flow control means comprising at least one auxiliary valve which when temporarily opened causes a main valve to open, which main valve then remains open under the pressure of the water. The device comprises at least one synchronous electric motor M1 driving a step-down gear by which the auxiliary valve is operated. The motor is powered by a circuit 1 of a d.c. source. This circuit comprises an inverter 2 delivering alternating current and a delay circuit 3 which delays the application of the alternating current to the synchronous motor M1. The use of a synchronous motor makes it possible to reduce both power consumption and the cost of the device.
