Abstract

The invention relates to a device for automatically hooking bait onto the hooks of a bottom line and for simultaneously paying out the latter. This device includes - a support 6 on which the hooks 5 of the successive snoods 4 of the bottom line rest side by side; - a hook presentation guide 8, arranged in the extension of the said support 6; - a bait presentation means 11, contiguous with the downstream end of the said hook presentation guide 8; - a drive means 17, 18 for the main line 1 of the bottom line.
