Abstract

The container comprises four vertical corner-posts. The four vertical sides of the container are made up of superimposed, horizontal slats bridging between each post and its neighbours. The corner-post is a metal, e.g. aluminium, section with vertically spaced pairs of integral wings. In each pair the inner wing presents a support stop for an angled slat while the outer wing is double-cranked to space the removable slats louvre fashion. The compost is well aerated and can be drawn from the bottom of the heap.

Description

The present invention relates to a compost container of the type used in gardens for the decomposition of plant waste.

There are already known compost containers formed from squared wood stacked as in a blockhouse to form a corresponding container. Due to the lack of air passage between the woods, the decomposition is incomplete and in addition, to remove finished compost, the first finished compost being always at the bottom, the entire container must be dismantled. Another embodiment uses uprights on which planks are fixed by screws.

This gives the appropriate interval and therefore aeration, but in this case it is also not possible to remove the finished compost from below.

The object of the invention is therefore to eliminate the drawbacks of existing solutions and to present an easy-to-make compost container, the blades of which have the space required for aeration and can be removed at any place for removal. compost finished.

The object of the invention is achieved from a compost container consisting of four corner uprights and blades attached thereto, thanks to the fact that each of these corner uprights consists of a metal profile of appropriate shape provided with four wings which are integral with it, two of which serve to stop the blades and the others, after appropriate forming, define pocket-shaped recesses intended to receive the blades.

The invention will now be described with the aid of an embodiment shown in the drawings, in which
Figure 1 is a perspective representation of a compost container according to the invention
FIG. 2 is an end view of the metal profile of an angle post of the compost container according to the invention, and
Figure 3 is a side view of this amount of angle.

The compost container shown in FIG. 1 is made up of four corner posts 1 and various blades 6.

As shown in particular in FIGS. 2 and 3, the corner profile 1, preferably made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and which can be extruded in any shape, consists of a box of triangular section provided with wings 2 and 3 who are in solidarity with him.

The wing 2 is folded down as shown in FIG. 3 in the direction of the arrow 4 and in the direction of the arrow 5 by a simple posterior stamping operation and thus forms a pocket-shaped guide for the blade 6 which can be easily inserted and removed.

The wing 3, on the other hand, serves as a stop for stopping the blade 6 in the pocket formed by the wing 2.

With these four corner posts 1, which are made extremely simply and therefore economically, and corresponding blades 6, which can be economically made of wooden slats, one can build a compost container which not only ensures good ventilation for decomposition , but also makes it possible to take finished compost conveniently at the bottom by removing blades, while new waste is constantly being placed at the top.
