Abstract

The process is applied to highly resinous woods and those contg. little or no tannin and comprises (1) saturating with an undercoat of mixt. (a); (2) drying for at least 12 hrs.; and (c) applying a water-based stain to give the desired colour. Mixt. (a) comprises: pyrogallic acid 20 g.; ferrous sulphate 25 g. and the remainder soft water. The amt. of water added should not be more than 15 vols. per vol. basic mixt. for medium tone. For pure black, the basic mixt. is used undiluted.

Description

DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to the tinting of softwoods and that of wood with no or low tannin content.

For resinous woods (firs and pines), the processes known at this time, do not give good results the water colors which are the most chestnut are difficult to apply because the resin is not allowed to penetrate. The tones appear washed out with important refusals.

Other shades hide the wood or lack of relief, see the two disadvantages paired. The most acceptable processes require many product passes (seven in some homes) and a professional flair
Only natural tones and honey are highly marketed; the darker tones have the aforementioned drawbacks.

In addition, furniture factories make a significant waste by eliminating the more resinous woods (which are.

The invention avoids all these drawbacks by facilitating the penetration of the colors with water, even on the resin or fat (dbnt insecticides).

The application can be fattened by anyone, even if it is not specialized and without the need of a hand, and allows the elimination of wastes while improving the result.
The hyper-resinous and blue woods, can be used and test like the others and without revealing the "blues".

You can tint to absolute black, or almost black, letting appear ramifications and this, in the desired colors, for example black brown, black more red etc ...

The resistance of the dyes to ultraviolet paratt resists,
The invention can be applied in an industrial manner, since it does not require any particular skill and applies like water colors which are themselves

Applied industrially0 The soaked will be the most efficient and fastest.

Procédé;
Application material:
The same as for water colors: brushes, sponges, soaked etc ;; 0 LP4invention makes it possible to achieve the best result by acting as follows:
Process;
A / pass a saturation layer with the compound whose formula is described later,
Wait a little longer than the apparent total drying for a minimum of 12 hours, by normal room hygrometry.

B / pass a coat of tint with good quality water of the desired color.

By adding non-calcareous water to the basic sub-layer preparation, the tonality of the second-pass tint is clarified. For medium tones, the best results are obtained by not exceeding I5 volumes of water for one second. basic volume for non-softwoods.

For absolute black, the underlayer can be applied with the pure base.

Formule:du produit de sous couche.Formula: of the sub-layer product.

Pour un litre de préparation:
Pyrogallol Rectapur, appelé aussi Acide Pyrogallique: 20grs
Sulfate de fer: 25grs
Eau non calcaire: pour complément du volume.
For a liter of preparation:
Pyrogallol Rectapur, also called Pyrogallic Acid: 20grs
Iron sulphate: 25grs
Non-calcareous water: to complement the volume.

Dosage:
dosage:
The variation of the dosages is possible, although the dosage indicated seems for the usual works, to give the best results. (see above in: process)
