Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the operation and enable the production cost to be reduced by adding at least the pigment being capable of laying emphasis on the grain into impregnation liquid. CONSTITUTION:Upon compounding of wood and synthetic resin by impregnation of thermosetting resin into a veneer, an excellent light resistant pigment is used, and as required, a dye is appropriately used as delicate toning agent. As inorganic pigments, e.g., titanium oxide, red iron oxide, chrome yellow and the like, and as organic pigment, e.g., chrome vermilion, watching red, cyanine blue, aniline black, insoluble azo pigment and isoindolinone and the like are used in single or in mixing of them.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a WPC (wood-plastic combination) decorative board, and particularly to a method for manufacturing a decorative board that emphasizes the grain of hardwood.

On the other hand, in recent years, emphasis on the grain of wood has been used as a way to enhance the quality of wood and give it an image of luxury. Methods for emphasizing the wood grain include: ■ Applying an edge-enhancing agent or edge-extending agent that reacts with trace components and pigments present in the wood; ■ Forming unevenness on the surface of the veneer by brushing, etc. to remove the concavities. A method of reversing the grain pattern in which the convex portions are colored darker than the convex portions, and a method of (2) adding a dye to the thermosetting resin liquid in advance are widely known.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, when method (■) is used, the summer wood area becomes darker in color than the spring wood area and the heather grain is emphasized, resulting in a disadvantage that the entire area becomes darker in color. In the case of method (■), the spring wood part becomes a concave part and the summer wood part becomes a convex part, so the emphasized heather grain becomes the reverse of the original heather grain, forming an unnatural heather grain. There was a drawback to that. Furthermore, in the case of (2), there were disadvantages in that the grain was not very clear, and that adjustment tanks with different coloring formulations were required, or the impregnation pots had to be cleaned or a large number of pots were required.

Therefore, the inventors of the present invention have made extensive studies to solve these conventional drawbacks, and have found that when impregnating a veneer with a thermosetting resin, pigments or the like are added in advance to the thermosetting resin. The inventors have discovered that the grains can be easily emphasized by this method, and have arrived at the present invention.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The above-mentioned object of the present invention is to impregnate a hardwood veneer with a thermosetting resin liquid and cure it under heat and pressure. This was achieved by a method for manufacturing a reinforced decorative board that emphasizes the grain, which is characterized by adding a pigment that can emphasize the grain.

The thermosetting resin that can be used in the present invention may be transparent or opaque after curing, and examples include styrene, methyl methacrylate, diallyl phthalate, saturated or unsaturated polyester, melamine, phenolic resin, etc. The thermosetting resin composition can be appropriately selected from resins commonly used for impregnated wood, unsaturated polyester containing a shrinkage reducing agent, and other known thermosetting resin compositions.

In the present invention, the method of impregnating the veneer with the thermosetting resin liquid can be appropriately selected from among known methods, but in particular, the method of impregnating the veneer with the thermosetting resin liquid can be appropriately selected from known methods, but in particular, the method is A method in which the veneer is immersed in a resin liquid and then pressurized to inject the resin liquid into the veneer tube is preferable because a large amount of the resin liquid can be impregnated into the veneer in a short period of time.

Since dyes alone do not sufficiently emphasize the grain and are also inferior to pigments in light resistance, it is preferable to primarily use pigments with good light resistance, and to use dyes as a subtle toning agent when necessary.

Examples of pigments that can be used in the present invention include inorganic pigments such as titanium oxide, Bengara, and chrome yellow, and organic pigments such as chrome vermilion, watching red, and cyanine blue. , aniline black, insoluble azo pigments and isoindolinone. The diameter of these pigments is 15 μm or less, preferably 10 μm or less so that they can enter the plate tubes in the veneer. These pigments may be used alone or in combination.

The amount of pigment added to the thermosetting resin can be selected as appropriate, but it is preferably 0.1% by weight or more. As the amount of pigment added increases, the pigment tends to sediment, so it is preferable to prevent sedimentation by adding, for example, fluorene.

(Function) As in the present invention, by impregnating the veneer with a thermosetting resin containing pigment in advance, the dye/pigment is also transferred into the veneer, so the resin is hardened under heat and pressure to strengthen the veneer. At the same time, the heathered grain is emphasized by fixing the dye and pigment. - If the heathered grain emphasis by the wpc conversion is insufficient, the heather grain emphasis can be ensured by repeating the above wpc conversion process.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, there is no need for special operations such as brushing or a special device for highlighting the grain, so the operation is simple and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
