本発明はWPC(ウッド・プラスチック・コンビネーシ
ョン)化した化粧板に関し、特に広葉樹の杢目を強調し

近年、減圧下で排気した木材の仮導管に樹脂を注入して
熱圧硬化せしめる、所謂、木材と合成樹脂の複合化(W

得る方法として、近年木材の杢目を強調することが行わ
れている。このような杢目強調方法としては、■木材中
に存在する微量成分や色素分が反応する小口強調剤や小
口出し剤を塗布する方法、■ブラッシング等により単板
表面に凹凸を形成させ、凹部を凸部より濃色に着色させ
る杢目逆転方法、及び■熱硬化樹脂液中に予め染料を添

(発明が解決しようとする問題点)
しかしながら■の方法を用いた場合には、夏材部が春材
部より濃色化され杢目が強調される結果、全体に濃色化
されるという欠点があり、■の方法の場合には、春材部
が凹部、夏材部が凸部となるため、強調される杢目は本
来の杢目と逆転した形となり不゛自然な杢目を形成する
という欠点があった。更に■の場合には、杢目が今一つ
不鮮明である上、着色配合の異なる調整タンクを必要と
し、又は含浸釜の洗浄若しくは多数の釜が必要となると

そこで、本発明者等は従来のかかる欠点を解決すべく鋭
意検討を重ねた結果、単板に熱硬化性樹脂を含浸せしめ
る際に、該熱硬化性樹脂中に顔料等を予め添加しておく
ことにより、容易に杢目を強調し得ることを見出し本発

本発明の上記の目的は、広葉樹の単板に熱硬化性樹脂液
を含浸せしめこれを熱圧硬化する広葉樹のwpc化にお
いて、含浸樹液中に少なくとも杢目を強調することので
きる顔料を添加することを特徴とする杢目を強調した強

本発明で使用する事のできる熱硬化性樹脂の硬化後は透
明であっても不透明であっても良く、例えば、スチレン
、メチルメタクリレート、ジアリルフタレート、飽和又
は不飽和ポリエステル、メラミン、フェノール樹脂等の
含浸木材用として通常使用される樹脂や収縮低減剤を含
有する不飽和ポリエステルその他の公知の熱硬化性樹脂

本発明において、熱硬化性樹脂液を単板に含浸せしめる

に注入する方法が、短時間に大量に樹脂液を前記単板中

染料のみでは杢目強調が不十分である上耐光性も顔料よ
り劣るので、耐光性の良好な顔料を主として用い、必要
な場合に微妙な調色剤として染料を適宜使用する事が好

本発明で使用することのできる顔料としては、無機系の
ものとして例えば酸化チタン、弁柄、クロムイエロー等
を挙げることができ、有機系のものとしては例えばクロ
ムバーミリオン、ウオッチングレッド、シアニンブルー
、アニリンブラック、不溶性アゾ顔料及びイソインドリ
ノン等を挙げることができる。これらの顔料は単板中の
板場管に入り込めるように、15μm以下、好ましくは
10μm以下とする。これらの顔料は単独で用いても混

ら上記樹脂を熱圧硬化させて、単板の強化を図ると同時
に染・顔料を固定することによって杢目が強調されるこ
とになる。−回のwpc化による杢目強調が不十分な場
合には、上記wpc化の工程を繰り返すことにより杢目
