(USSR author's certificate, 92165, B 27 K 5/02, 1950)
The disadvantage of this method is the long duration of the dyeing operations and the use of the reagent in the gas phase.
The closest method of the same purpose to the claimed invention in terms of features is a method of staining wood, in which the wood is stained by treatment in an aqueous solution containing 4% potassium dichromate, 0.4% hydroquinone and 0.2-0.5% surface-active substances for 60 min at a temperature of 60-80 o C. (USSR Author's Certificate, 319471, 27 K 5/02, 1971)
The disadvantage of this method is the long duration of the dyeing operation and the need for heating the solution.
One of the directions in the refinement of wood is its dyeing using chemical compounds (reagents) that form colored compounds (dyes) as a result of reaction with wood components.
The main disadvantage of coloring compositions used in the manufacture of wood products is their high cost. In addition, to obtain a wide range of colorings at the enterprise, it is necessary to have a whole set of ready-made standard coloring compounds (tints). When mixing colors from different manufacturers, unsatisfactory results can be obtained.
The invention solves the problem of increasing the decorative properties of coniferous wood.
The technical effect when using the invention is to increase the decorative properties of wood products of coniferous species.
To achieve the specified technical result in the method of dyeing coniferous wood by treating it with aqueous solutions of chemicals, the difference is that the treatment is carried out according to the first option in two stages: first, with a solution containing 1-4 g / l p-diphenylenediamine dihydrochloride or p-aminophenol then with a solution containing 10-40 g / l of potassium or sodium bichromate, and according to the second variant, the treatment is carried out in one step with a solution containing 1-4 g / l of p-diphenylenediamine dihydrochloride or p-aminophenol and 10-40 g / l of dichromate feces ia or sodium, while the process is carried out at a solution temperature of 18-22 o C.
The use of reagents allows emphasizing the texture of the wood, while the resulting color (shades of brown) depends on the ratio of the reagents, while the resulting color is resistant to dry and wet wiping and has a relatively high light resistance. Dyeing can be carried out in one or two stages at a temperature of the dyeing solution 18-22 o C.
According to the first embodiment, the developed method for dyeing coniferous wood with reagents is as follows. A solution containing 1 to 4 g / l of p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride or p-aminophenol is applied to the pre-treated (polished) surface of the workpieces of pine or larch wood with a moisture content of 6-8%, then an intermediate exposure is made for 2-5 min for drying the treated surface, and then the surface of the samples is treated with a solution containing from 10 to 40 g / l of potassium or sodium dichromate. The flow rate of the reagent solutions at each stage is 100 ml / m 2 , the temperature of the solutions is 18-22 o C. The shelf life of the solutions is up to 24 hours. Before forming the paint coatings, the preform is dried for 20-30 minutes.
According to the second option, when dyeing in one stage, it is necessary to separately prepare solutions of the reagents and mix them in the desired ratio, it is desirable to use a complex solution for 2-3 hours
A freshly prepared aqueous solution containing 1 to 4 g / l p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride or p-aminophenol and 10 to 40 g / l potassium dichromate is applied to the pre-treated (polished) surface of pine or larch wood preforms with a moisture content of 6-8% or sodium. After applying the solution before forming the coatings, the preform is dried for 20-30 minutes at room temperature 18-22 o C. The flow rate of reagent solutions is 100 ml / m 2 , the temperature of the solutions is 18-22 o C.
The color of the painted wood depends only on the ratio of reagents. Other things being equal, the color of the wood according to the first and second option will be the same.
Example 1 (in the first embodiment)
A harvest of larch wood with a moisture content of 8% is sequentially treated with a solution containing 1 g / l p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride. After exposure for 5 minutes, the potassium dichromate solution containing 10 g / l is treated and the wood is dried for 25 minutes. As a result, the wood acquires a light brown color with a distinct texture pattern.
Example 2 (in the second embodiment)
An aqueous solution containing 2 g / l p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride and 20 g / l potassium dichromate is applied to the polished surface of a pine wood preform with a moisture content of 6%, then the wood is dried for 25 minutes. As a result, the wood acquires a reddish-brown color with a distinct texture pattern.
2. The results of the implementation of the method according to the first and second options at different concentrations of the reagents are given in tables 1 and 2.
The use of the invention allows dyeing coniferous wood in the colors most often used in woodworking, using not scarce and cheap reagents. When implementing the proposed method, the texture pattern of the wood is not veiled, and the resulting color is resistant to dry and wet wiping, has a relatively high light resistance.
