Abstract

The plastics moulding is for installing double-glazing over existing windows. It comprises a rigid channel (1) which receives the additional glass pane. A strip (3) containing holes (30) in its base (3) for mounting screws is connected to the channel by a semi-rigid link (4) which extends from one edge (31). A lid (5) integral with the other edge of the strip clips into a closed position to cover the screw heads. The inner surface of the channel (1) carries projections (20,21) which bear onto the existing frame. The semi-rigid link (4) prevents distortion of the strip, being transmitted to the additional glass pane.

Composite plastic hinge profile for glazing, comprising a relatively rigid gutter (1) intended to receive an edge of the survitre, a screw-on strip (3) with folding cover (5) and a semi-main hinge rigid (4) connecting the gutter to the screw band, characterized in that the screw band (3) has, at its connection with the main hinge (4), a flange (31) substantially perpendicular to the latter, and can thus be disposed well flat, said hinge (4) being relatively separated from the screw band from the point of view of the transmission of the screwing pressure, while the cover (5) is linked to the screw band according to the edge of the latter opposite to said connecting edge with the main hinge.

2. Hinge profile according to claim 1, characterized in that the profile of the face of the gutter opposite to that which includes a seal is provided with a stiffening molding (10).
