Abstract

The device for protecting doors against break-ins using heavy tools introduced in the gap between the door and the door frame consists of a metal frame of polygonal cross-section fastened on the three sides of the door in contact with the door frame. This polygon, which is open before being installed, comprises on the one hand an L whose two sides 6 and 9 respectively serve for fastening onto the door and for closing the gap 10 between the door 1 and the door frame 2, on the other hand a side 11 extending one of the said sides of the L and arranged so that a fastening tool can be passed through in order to act on the side 6 and so that it protects the screws 8 after folding over onto the two sides with which it thus forms a closed polygon. Folding-over of the side 11 can be carried out on site, by virtue of the weakening by metal removal 13 of the generating lines corresponding to the fold 12.
