Abstract

The metal section houses the edges of the door and the corresponding faces of the frame, being partic. shaped to prevent access to the interval between the door and the frame (7). U-sections of a width equal to or nominally greater than the thickness of the door house the edges, and Z-sections (13) house the rebated frame face. The sections on the hung edge may accommodate the hinges (6) and may have inclined webs (12a, 13a) with the external corner acutely angled. A box section return (13b, 13c) of the Z-sections may fit over the outstand (14) and an acutely inclined return (12b) may be appended to the outer edge of the U-sections.
