Abstract

The portable gas stove, for camping, has a wind-shield chimney on top with a stop-ring. A truncated-cone-shaped cooking utensil is placed inside. The bottom of the wind-shield chimney has holes as air-inlets, and holes for the exhaust gas. The sides of the chimney have throttles. The stop-ring has exhaust gas holes. A chain suspends the chimney.

Description

 The present invention relates to portable stoves in general, and in particular to gas stoves of the type used in camping.

 It is a cooking device, adaptable to the burner of a stove, in this case operating on gas.

 The known portable stoves are designed to receive a traditional camping pan, the container to be heated resting directly on stirrups. Some of these stoves are equipped with a simple cup protecting the flame from drafts.

 These stoves have the disadvantages of a lack of stability of the container to be heated and a lack of protection of the flame from the air stream; poor winds result in poor performance, resulting in increased fuel consumption.

 To meet the needs of hikers, mountaineers, navigators, etc ..., the device, according to the invention, consists of a windbreak chimney, coming to cap the top of the stove. This windbreak chimney coming to receive in its upper part, the container to be heated.

 This device is designed in such a way that it offers the ma x rum of security from the point of view of stability; the whole stove, windbreak and receptacle being positively fitted into each other.

 The assembly thus formed can be placed on the ground, or suspended in the air, using a chain which allows it to be hung.

 This device, according to the invention, is characterized in that the windbreak chimney has an appropriate form PJUi makes it possible to protect, as much as possible the flame, from external winds, and to improve thermal convection.

 According to the invention, the container, used for heating a liquid for example, has a cynical trunk shape, which allows easy fitting into the windbreak chimney, and offers a maximum heating surface.

 To meet the problem of space in the case of use at sea or in the mountains, for example, the stove, windbreak and chimney stack is designed so that they fit into each other. A stop ring, which acts as a cover, holds the assembly together, in the folded state.

 This cooking device, according to the invention, offers advantages over existing appliances, improved combustion with substantial fuel economy, and with a gain in heating time, greater safety in use, and space. minimum when folded.

 In the embodiment of Figures I and 2, the assembly according to the invention comprises a stove (I) in gas loccurence, provided with its cartridge (2) and equipped with a bradeur (3), a chimney awning (4) of cylindrical shape and of a cooking vessel (5) of conical trunk shape, as well as a stop ring (O) acting as a gauge in FIG. I and a cover in FIG. 2.

 In the position of use shown in Figure I, the stove assembly (I), windbreak chimney (4) and cooking container (5) mounted integrally can be suspended by a chain (7).

In the folded state, represented in FIG. 2, this chain (7) is easily accommodated in the interior space.

 In the position of use shown in Figure I, the cooking container (5) is equipped with a movable pivoting handle (8) which, in the folded state, fits on the periphery of the cooking container (5).

 The present invention, the main elements of which have just been described, is characterized in that, in accordance with FIG. I, the windbreak chimney (4) offers at its lower part an opening (9) allowing the passage of the burner (3 ) and its hold in the suspended position. This opening (9) leaving free access to the adjustment button (10) of the stove (I).

 This opening (9) as well as holes (II) at the base of the windbreak chimney (4) allow the arrival of air.

 The hot combustion gases produced by the burner (3) are perfectly channeled by the windbreak chimney (4) between the wall (I3) thereof and the container (5).

 The heat exchange by convection being improved by the throttles () and the conical shape of the container (5), this design allows a nozzle effect.

 The evacuation of the burnt gases takes place at the upper part of the windbreak chimney (4) by holes (I4) in the wall thereof and by holes (15) made in the stop ring (b) the gases are accelerated due to the tightening, a hot protective ring is created above the container (5).

 Such a system allows a significant improvement in the thermal efficiency of portable stoves, in particular gas stoves. This improvement in yield is increased in the case of use in the windy zone.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the example which has just been described, and other modifications can be made to it, without departing from the scope of the invention.

 Thus, the shape of the chimney and the arrangement of openings and throttles can be appropriate for the type of stove.

 One can also imagine a heating container with several compartments provided with a lid.

 The means of suspension of the assembly, as well as the principle of mounting the windbreak chimney on the stove, could be different from those described.

Claims (5)

 R E V E N D I C A T I O N S.  I) Improvement in portable stoves, in particular in gas stoves including a stove (I) surmounted by a fire-shield (4), fitted with a darretto crown) all coming to receive a cooking container (5).  This improvement is characterized in that the windbreak chimney (4) has at its lower part openings (9) and (II) allowing the arrival of air, the hot gases produced by the stove (I) are channeled and accelerated due to the throttles (la) made in the wall of the chimney. The openings (I4; allowing the evacuation of the burnt gases.  2) Improvement in portable stoves according to claim I, characterized in that the conical trunk shape of the cooking vessel (5) offers the maximum heating surface and achieves between the wall of the wind-proof chimney a shrinking allowing a nozzle effect. This shape also allows the penetration of the container inside the chimney and ensures good stability of the assembly.  3) Improvement in portable stoves according to claim I and 2, characterized in that the chimney screen (>) is capped by a stop ring (6) provided with holes (15) these allowing the evacuation of gases burned forming a hot protective ring above the container (5).  4) Improvement in portable stoves according to any one of claims from I to 3, is characterized in that the windbreak chimney (4) mounts positively thanks to the opening (, -) of suitable shape , the bottom of the chimney resting on the stove (I) when it is placed on the ground or the underside of the burner (3) of the stove coming to rest on the bottom of the chimney when the assembly is suspended in the air using the chain (7).  5) Improvement in portable stoves according to any one of claims from I to 4 is characterized in that the stop ring (6) allows to offer maximum stability of the container (5) in the position of use and plays the role of the cover in position of the folded assembly.
