Abstract

The surface for carrying vegetation comprises a netting which is sufficiently open to encourage growth yet sufficiently dense and thick to hold the vegetation in place during transportation. The netting may be woven or non-woven and can be of metallic, natural, synthetic or biodegradable material. The netting incorporates passages for waterpipes, nutritional elements, heating strips, or straps for supporting the surface. The surface can be used for sports areas, horticultural applications or camouflage.
