Abstract

The invention relates to a silencer for internal-combustion engines, especially two-stroke internal-combustion engines, consisting of a silencer casing, a replaceable silencing insert and an end piece. The object of the invention is to create a silencer with a replaceable silencing insert which ensures a reliable attachment of the silencing insert, which is uncomplicated and cannot be influenced by thermal expansion. The object is to develop an attachment for a silencing insert at a small cost outlay, with a simple structure and an easy assembly capability. The object is achieved in that the end piece is connected in a positively locking manner by means of a bayonet closure to the silencer casing and has slots for the outlet of gas, which slots are provided as a lock for an assembly tool. The field of use relates to all silencers with replaceable silencing inserts.
