Abstract

Appts. is for feeding a predetermined number of items, partic. food prods. such as cannelloni, etc., into a casing, sachet, wrapper, etc. The items are gravity fed in single file down a chute in the form of an inclined channel. The channel terminates in a horizontal section in which controllably retractable stops are provided to arrest the advance of each prod. item in turn. Corresp. retractable stops are fitted in the lower end of the inclined channel. The horizontal channel section is longitudinally removable w.r.t. its stops to allow prod. items to drop on to a conveyor below.
