Abstract

The leaf trimming tool includes a rotary blade, which has an axis of rotation inclined to the direction of movement. A semi-cylindrical guard is mounted on the side of the blade opposite its direction of movement. A pair of interengaging clutch elements enclose a set of ball-bearings. The two elements are brought into engagement by a spring-loaded trigger to transmit rotary motion from the output shaft of the motor, to the shaft on which the blade is mounted. The trigger is biased to an inoperative position and has a guard to prevent accidental movement.
