Abstract

The stencil for tracing characters onto a writing surface has a flat strip (1) which is fitted into two edge elements (2) formed as tubes e.g. of metal. Each tube has a slot along it, into which an edge of the strip is fitted, so that the strip is supported spaced above the writing surface. Each tube is shorter than the strip, and the projecting ends of the strip are projected by plugs (4) inserted into the open ends of the tubes.
