Abstract

The lock retains two panels either at right angles or aligned. The outer frame of the first panel contains top and bottom spigots which fit into holes in the frame of the second panel. The spigots have adjustable slots. Within the frame of the second panel are two locking rods with tapered ends. The rods are spring loaded using tension springs so that the ends are normally engaged in the slots in the spigot. The mechanism is released by rotation of a pinion in between two racks which are connected to the rods.
