Abstract

The ski stick which can be converted into an ice axe enables the owner to change over quickly from one use to the other. The ski stick has a handle (6) with a slot (14) formed along it into which is retracted the blade (13) of the ice axe when not in use. When the axe is required, the blade is swung up to extend at right angles and is locked in this position. The remainder of the ski stick consists of two telescopic tubes (1,2) which are extended for normal use but which can be retracted for use as an ice axe. The inner end of the blade has two notches which can be engaged in the two optimal positions by a locking pin inside the handle.

Il est en effet évident que grâce à la constitution du bâton en deux éléments assemblés entre eux de façon amovible, il est possible de prévoir le montage de divers autres accessoires tant sur l'un que sur l'autre de ces deux éléments. C'est ainsi par exemple qu'une pelle ou un marteau peut être monté à l'extrémité inférieure de l'élément supérieur, ou à l'extrémité supérieure de l'élément inférieur. Claims

i. - Ski pole according to claim i of the main patent, characterized in that it is constituted by two tubular elements (i, 2) assembled in a removable manner in the extension of one another and including the upper one (2) ends at its lower end with a tip (25) which, similar to the tip of an ice ax, is housed inside the lower tubular element (i) when the stick is used as a stick.

2.- Ski pole according to claim 1, characterized in that its two upper (2) and lower (i) tubular elements are assembled by screwing.
