Abstract

The flip-down sun shade of an automobile includes a parking disc that is seen through the windscreen when the shade is down. The sun shade (1) is produced from two sheets of material that are bonded together. The top sheet has a hole large enough to receive the housing for the parking disc. A central pin provides support for the parking disc that has the time numerals printed around the periphery. An aperture (4) allows the time to be readily displayed.

Description

 The present invention relates to a sunshade for vehicles, of the type comprising a parking disc, which is incorporated in the body of the sunshade, so as to be able to pivot therein, and by virtue of being turned towards the outside when the sunshade is lowered.

 It is known to equip vehicle sun visors with parking discs. A sun visor of this known type is described for example in the German utility model NO 70 14 592. In the case of this known sun visor, a rotary button, protruding outside the plane of the body of the sun visor, is especially freezing, due to the fact that, depending on the position of the body of the sun visor, it can create significant risks of injury to the user of the vehicle. Another sun visor, described in the German utility model NO 19 53 495, also has the same drawbacks.

 The German utility model NO 70 29 795 describes a sun visor, in the body of which is a parking disk, of which a circular segment protrudes below the lower part of the body of the sun visor. This known sun visor, equipped with a parking disc, can not meet security requirements either.

 The present invention makes it possible to improve a sun visor, provided with a parking disc, of the type indicated initially, in such a way that it meets safety standards, and in particular the provisions of standard 74/60 / EW6 of the Federal Republic of Germany, in its version of May 19, 1978; the present invention also makes it possible to produce a sun visor, provided with a parking disc, the manufacture of which is easy and inexpensive.

 The sun visor according to the present invention is of the type indicated initially, and it is characterized in that the parking disc consists of a time disc (3), with numbers (14) in relief, and by a support bowl (5), which covers the external face of the time disc (3) and in which the latter is housed so as to be able to pivot, said support bowl (5) being covered externally by a wrapping sheet, which surrounds the body (1) of the sun visor and which is permanently fixed to said bowl-support (5), openings (4), in the form of coincident fenEt-ees, being arranged respectively in the wrapping sheet (11) and in the support bowl (5) to adjust the time disc (3) and read the numbers (14) it carries.

 The sun visor according to the present invention offers the following particular advantages: although it is provided with a parking disc, it has completely smooth exterior surfaces; the manufacture and assembly in parking disc in two parts are very simple and inexpensive; the time disc can be easily adjusted by means of the figures indicating the hours, in relief.

 As an example, an embodiment of the sun visor according to the present invention has been described below and schematically illustrated in the appended drawing.

Figure 1 shows the body 1 of a sun visor, which is mounted in the usual way on the body of a vehicle, using a support pin 2, embedded, so that said body of the visor -sun can title at least raised above the vehicle windshield.

In the body 1 of the sun visor is embossed a parking disc which, as shown in particular in Figure 2, is constituted by a time disc 3, bearing numbers 14 in relief, and by a support bowl, 5, which covers the external face of the time disc 3 with the exception of an opening 4 in the form of a window, and in which the time disc 3 is mounted so as to be able to pivot. The structure of the parking disc which is illustrated in FIG. 2 shows that the support bowl 5 has a flat bottom 6, and a circular rim 7, which concentrically surrounds the time disc 3, and which has an external rounded radius at less than 3.2 mm. The support bowl 5 is produced with a central pin, 8, bent, on which the time disc 3, provided with a central pad 9, is fixed by simple clipping. The bowl 5 and the time disc 3 can title made in the form of plastic parts, injection molded, whose cost is low.

 When the sun visor is produced, a recess 10 is arranged in its body 1, the diameter and depth of which must correspond to the dimensions of the support bowl 5. The parking disc, consisting of the time disc 3 and the cuvettesupport 5, is then simply engaged in the recess 10. The parking disc is fixed by welding to the cuvette-support 5, the wrapping sheet II, which surrounds the body 1 of the sun visor. At least one weld bead 12 is then produced, surrounding the periphery of the window-shaped opening 4, a similar opening being of course also provided in the wrapping sheet 11. An additional welding bead, 13, is advantageously carried out above the window-shaped opening 4.

 Figure 1 shows that the opening 4, forming a window, has the shape of a circular ring sector, bounded by two radial cutouts 15. The opening 4, for being a window, is arranged so that the numbers 14 can easily read title, which is further facilitated by an arrow 16, marked on the wrapping sheet 11. The opening 4, forming a window, preferably has dimensions such that it is possible to adjust the time disc 3 by hand to display the corresponding time, which is made particularly easy by producing the numbers 14 in relief.

Claims (6)

 1. Sun visor for vehicles, comprising a parking disc, which is embossed in the body of the sun visor so as to be able to pivot, and which is turned towards the outside when the sun visor is lowered, characterized in that the parking disc is constituted by a time disc (3), with numbers (14) in relief, and by a support bowl (5), which covers the external face of the time disc (3) and in which the latter is housed in such a way as to be able to pivot, said support bowl (5) being covered externally by a development sheet / 5 which surrounds the body (1) of the sun visor and which is permanently fixed to said support bowl (5) openings (4), in the form of coincidental windows, being arranged respectively in the wrapping sheet (11) and in the support bowl (5) to enable the time disc (3) to be adjusted and the numbers (14) to be read he's wearing.  2. Sun visor according to claim 1, characterized in that the support bowl (5) has a flat bottom (6), a flange (7), which concentrically surrounds the time disc (3) and has an external rounded of radius at least equal to 3.2 mm, as well as a central pin (8), for the rotary mounting of the time disc (3).  3. Sun visor according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the time disc (3) comprises a central pad (9), which is clipped onto the pin (8) of the support bowl (5 ).  4. Sun visor according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the wrapping sheet (11) is welded to the support bowl (5), at least at the edge of the opening (4 ) in the form of a window.  5.
