Abstract

The internal combustion engine is placed at the base of the thermally and sonically insulated enclosure. An electric generator is fitted to its output shaft and is immersed in the incoming air stream for cooling. The engine cooling water is circulated by pumps through the heating system of a building. The incoming fuel may be preheated in a heat exchanger carrying the returning water.
