Abstract

Above the ceiling in the house is a heat storage area with cover. This contains alumina based bricks and a coil for reheating water. A solar panel at the front is orientatable on a horizontal axis and has a double glazed window to allow the solar rays only to pass through. The living area has a fixed double glazed window with a space behind for forced circulation of air. A tinted window allows only a small penetration of heat into the area. The building is constructed on a reinforced concrete raft on anti vibration mounts on a metallic frame. The frame is mounted on pulley wheels on a circular track and is driven via a motor and reduction gear using electronic control. The services pass through a central duct.
