Abstract

The device for fixing a shoe upper to an inner sole can be adapted for use on a machine. It consists of a support (2) for the inner sole (6), peripheral hooks (3) which grip the edge of the upper (4), nozzles for injecting adhesive and heated plates (5) which hold the upper against the inner sole. Deformable sheets (8) are fixed on each plate, near their front extremity and on the face that presses against the inner sole. Behind the plates there are fingers (9) and the back part of each sheet is placed between these and the inner sole.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for mounting a shoe upper on a first.

 A shoe comprises an intermediate element between the upper and the sole, called the first. For the production of a shoe, the first step is to shape the upper and to fix it on the first, then to fix it. on the latter of the sole.

If the mounting of the rod on the first was formerly carried out by placing staples or seeds, it is now common to carry out part of this fixing by gluing on an automatic machine.

 Thus it is proce'de ', firstly, the assembly of the end and the paver with glue, on a machine, then the assembly of the box and finally the assembly of the sidewalls.

This last operation is delicate to carry out, in particular for high-heeled shoes, in which there is a significant difference in level between the part of the first corresponding to the pad and that corresponding to the casing. Indeed, in this case, Si. tension exerted on the material of the upper is not perfectly regular, the finished shoe may have defects such as folds, and is therefore not acceptable.

This operation is therefore most often carried out manually with the stem fixed by seeds, and requires qualified personnel.
The machines for mounting the end and the block on the first generally include
- a central support for the first,
- peripheral claws capable of pinching the edge of the sheet of material constituting the rod
- glue injection nozzles in the area for attaching the rod to the first,
- plates capable of coming to apply the part of the rod to be fixed on the first, against the latter, these plates being heated to accelerate the setting of the glue.

The machine cycle is as follows
Closing of the end clamps, then of the clamps located at the level of the paver, mounting of the central support for shaping the rod, gluing and closing of the plates with the support of pads at the end and laterally.

 The machines also include fingers ensuring a certain shaping of the sides of the shoe not for mounting them on the first, but to improve the mounting conditions of the pad.

 The present invention aims to provide a device adaptable to machines of the aforementioned type and allowing mounting by bonding simultaneously with that of the end and the block, the sides of the rod on the first.

 To this end, the device which it relates to comprises two deformable blades each associated with one of the two plates ensuring the application of the rod on the first in the glued area, fixed near their front end on a plate, on the face of the latter serving to support the first, and projecting from the plates at the posterior end thereof, this projecting part being located, in the working position, between the fingers disposed behind the plates and the first .

 Therefore, during the action phase of the plates, the blades deform under the pressure of the fingers and are applied over their entire length against the first, at the level of the block and the sides of the shoe, by exerting, over this entire contact area, regular pressure allowing mounting by gluing, in good conditions, not only of the end and the block, but also simultaneously, of the sides of the rod on the first, which ensures continuity of the pressure from the tip to beyond the camber.

 Advantageously, each blade forms, seen in cross section, an angle with the plate with which it is associated, the edge of the blade located on the outside of the plate being peeled off relative to the latter.

 This arrangement is interesting, because in its central part, the first has not only a tilting sound in the front-rear direction, but also a lateral tilting at each edge.

According to one embodiment, each blade associated with a plate is made of blued steel.

This characteristic has a double advantage, namely that of providing good resistance and good flexibility to the blade and that of allowing its heating by conduction from a plate to accelerate the polymerization of the adhesive in the zone in which it comes. in support against the first.

Anyway, the invention will be clearly understood with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the appended schematic drawing representing, by way of nonlimiting example, a form of execution of a machine equipped with this device

The machine shown in the drawing comprises, in known manner, a central support of the first 2 vertically movable, as well as a number of claws 3 able to pinch the edge of the material of the upper 4 of the shoe.

This machine also includes nozzles for injecting glue into the area for fixing the rod to the first, not shown in the drawing.

 Such a machine is also equipped with plates 5 capable of coming to apply the part of the rod 4 to be fixed, against the first 6, after the rod 4 has been engaged on a form.

According to the invention, on each plate 5 is fixed a blade 8, extending the latter rearward. The fixing of each blade 8 on a plate 5 is carried out near its front end, and on its face intended to come to bear against the first during the assembly period.

Each blade 8 is made of blued steel so as to have good flexibility and conduct heat from the plates 5
As shown in particular in Figures 3 and 4, each blade 8 forms an angle with the plate 5 with which it is associated, its outer edge being more glue 'than its inner edge relative to said plate.

As shown in the drawing, the machine equipped with the device according to the invention also comprises, behind the plates 5, fingers 9. The rear part of each blade 8 is placed between the fingers 9 and the first in mounting condition.

 After the traditional operations of pinching the edges of the rod 4 by the claws 3 and of injecting glue in the zone between the rod 4 and the first 6, the plates 5 are traditionally put in place, which tighten by applying the rod 4 against the first 6.

 As shown in the drawing, during this movement, each blade 8 is applied against the rod 4 under the action of the fingers 9, exerting a pressure regularly distributed applying the rod 4 to the first 6.

This deformation of each blade 8 ensures the plating and consequently the fixing of the central part of the rod against the first.

 As is clear from the above, the invention brings a great improvement to the existing technique by providing a device of simple design providing a very interesting result, since allowing the fixation of the upper of a shoe on the first in the central part of it, without requiring a specific operation as is usually the case.
