Abstract

The frame is a simple square hollow tube of variable size and thickness soldered onto the edges of the glazing and which is notched for this effect. To protect the flexible joint material which ages rapidly under the effect of ultra violet light, the frame is edged with a 1 cm band of protective material. The frame houses a fine copper wire, the two ends of which exit at the same point so that they can be attached to a generator when the dehydrant between the glazing becomes saturated so that the dehydrant can be regenerated without disturbing the glazing.
